Gun Found at AK - Updated Post#25 Guest Found Loaded Gun

Well, it's just like breaking any other rule. How much "trouble" is one going to be in?

That's I think what people are failing to realize. The 2nd Amendment and FL Gun laws DO allow you to carry the gun onto Disney property.

Take Disney out of the equation. If I choose to ignore the rules of the private establishment I'm going to, then I will be subject to the punishment that entity wants to hand down to me, IF they find out I have broken a rule.

Um, ok. I'm not disagreeing?

Absolutely! Totally agree. He was very careless.

And you're probably right, I don't think there have been any armed madmen at Disney. Yet.

And I pray that there never is an armed madman at Disney. I also hope that should that happen that there are armed good guys to take the ******* out.

Wow! Is America really such a dangerous place that ordinary people need to carry guns in their daily life! :scared1:

NOPE, some people ..well just think the right to bear arms, is a reason to walk around with a weapon. It makes them feel important and powerful.

This dam fool who brought the gun to WDW is one of those type people.

For the Record, I fully support the right to bear arms, I have a few, properly locked up at home. Just because you can do something, like walk around in a crowded place, with a gun, doesn't mean you should do it.

VERY well said. I totally agree with you. I never understood a US citizens need to carry around a gun with them when they are out in pubic.. They must watch too many country/western movies. Maybe they think they are some kind of cowboy. Lol

Some parts yes. The vast majority of people I know who carry do not do so daily. Some have the permit, but have never carried. They just want to know that should they feel the need, they are set. They treat it like an umbrella - if there's no threat of rain, no need to bring it. But they do own an umbrella.

Are you kidding with this statement?

Just because you choose not to walk around with a weapon doesn't make everyone that does a self indulged ******.

Seriously, I'm glad we live in a country where we can choose these things for ourselves. Like whether or not to carry a weapon or whether or not to make statements such as yours.

The right to bear arms is just that. The right to walk around with a weapon if you so choose. People from some other countries don't, and probably will never understand it. I couldn't care less.

What I do understand is there will always be people like you, unfortunately, that judge others and think you live in an ivory tower.

Excellent, your allowed your opinion but I am not and only because it doesn't agree with yours??

Well since your want to go in this direction, it seems that the common sense of not carrying a gun into theme parks and other crowded family venues doesn't matter, you can do it, so you are going to do in attitude is what rules???

Are you serious?

You think one of the Cowboys who does this is smart?.....you thinks its a good thing to have them start shooting in a theme park at a perceived or real danger is good? The likely hood they would wound or kill other innocent guests is good? Most average gun owners are not trained to deal with a situation like that.

That is what Disney armed security personal are for.........WELL trained and practiced in how to handle a real threat. Not to mention the training to know the difference between perceived and real threats.

The fact that anyone would think its safe to bounce around on rides and not follow safety rules proves to me there are others that would do the same thing. Now that is something to be scared about!

The right to own and carry fire arms is based on the common sense exercising of that right.

I can only hope that there are few other so STUPID or mentally deranged gun owners that they think they need that kind of protection at a Theme park or crowded venue of families.

You Madam and your logic are one of the reasons we have the fight to keep your firearms. The statement you have made in previous posts make that fight harder every day.

PS. I did not say A hole, you did, but *self-indulgent* would fit.

I don't believe insults or name calling serve any purpose in this discussion or any other. Tonka, I too was offended by your post and the follow up, and I don't even carry - I don't even own a gun that I COULD carry concealed.

I think we can all agree that this gentleman screwed up big time and should at least have his license looked at for possible suspension. That hardly makes all CCWers "deranged", however. Fact is, as a group, they have a pretty solid record.

I am sorry you don't agree but you have the right to disagree. and that's fine with me.

I believe what I said and the common sense of the issue is there is no reason for anyone to carry in a theme park or crowded family venue.

I was not saying ALL CCW owners are deranged. What I did say is SOME who feel the need to carry in theme park and family venues do it just because they can and in my opinion they do it to feel important and powerful.......and frankly make these places more unsafe for the reasons I have stated.

This is the guy we know about............there are likely more.

I stated I was afraid one of CCW in a theme park may start shooting. There have been previous post/posts saying it is good thing they are carrying in the parks so they can get a bad guy.
no insult....just fact.

Now if someone is out in woods, camping, going in a bad neighborhood, or working in a store or places along those lines, carrying cash, whatever, I have no issue with them carrying.

lastly what insults?. the only insult I saw was from AMY.......saying I was judging, when I did nothing more then state a opinion and backed it up with facts and common sense.

yes america is a dangerous place. look at what you deal with today Vs. 20-25 yrs ago. we didn't have the crime, sexual preditors, terrorists. America created this mess by letting anyone into our country. People hurt kids and get out in a very short time. what I worry more about than a guy with a gun in a park, is how many registered sex offenders come to Disney and are around everyones kids?

PS. I did not say A hole, you did, but *self-indulgent* would fit.

I got a few sentences in on your post and couldn't read it anymore due to your excellent spelling and grammar skills.

However, to answer your question, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am entitled to mine. Nowhere in any of my previous posts however, did I ever make any statements judging an entire group of people as you did. If you want to judge every person that carries a gun on their person as self indulgent "just because it makes them feel powerful", go ahead. But I will call you out as an ****** for doing so, and I don't care who gets pissed. Nowhere did I ever do or say anything so negative about an entire group of people. And yet again, I have already said I don't carry a gun into Disney, and think that this guy was irresponsible in his actions. And that's about as far into your diatribe that I got since it's pretty much illegible nonsense. Learn how to spell.

That little caveat was left out of your original post.

makes it sound like you think that anyone that chooses to carry a gun at all anywhere does so because it makes them feel important and powerful, and INFERS that somehow that group of people is self indulgent.

So if that's not what you meant, so be it.

1. Where did I say a whole group?. I said *some* and referring to the some, hopefully few, as those that feel the need to carry in a theme park or Family venue!

2. You can insult me as you wish, only demonstrates you have no facts to back up your points.

3. I never said you carried anything anywhere!

4. I never said you approved of anyone carrying into WDW ........other have.

5. I didn't call anyone A hole. You first used the word A hole in saying I used it. That is not correct.

If you wish to debate, please respond to what I said not what you imagined I said.

PS I have spell check and my spelling has been checked. My grammar and typing could use help now and then.

If you read the quoted parts you took, you will see the word SOME in the 2nd part!

1. I posted again clarifiying how your post came across.

2. I don't need facts to back up my opinion. It's an opinion. Everybody has one and well, you know that old saying. I'm not referring to anyone's opinion, I'm referring to your sweeping judgemental statement, which you've since clarified, sort of.

3. I never said you did.

Your whole tone over the past couple of pages was confrontational and insulting, beginning with your reply to the Canadian poster.

Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but when you start implying that anyone who would disagree is deranged, it makes folks dismiss your opinion as nothing more than a rant.

If you read the quoted parts you took, you will see the word SOME in the 2nd part!

And again, I do see the word 'some'. However that's not how your post came across. You clarified it with "SOME who feel the need to carry in theme park and family venues". I'm done debating semantics.

It is my opinion, that your statement was rude and offensive. I'm sure you don't care, as is evident by your strong defense of it. Maybe if you'd have included the part about theme park venues, it wouldn't have come across that way. But it did.

It's ok. I'll get over it. LOL

Holy Crap!! This has made me so angry I don't even know who's responding now!!! LOL I was like what is this person talking about??? Sorry Gumbo4X4.

I thought your post was Tonka's post, and was totally confused. Gosh I never let the frickin internet get me this riled up, but that totally struck a nerve with me.

Sorry. ;)

Deleted the original part of my post, well cause it just wouldn't have made any sense.

I added the rest to clarified my statement when you attacked me. I thought that was the right thing to do. If I was trying to hide my point I could have just a easily went and edited my first point, but that would not have been honest.

Again you are entitled to your opinion......you are not entitled to repeatedly attack me. Its not important but its wrong to do.

Care is not the point I believe in what I said, and I backed it up with logic and facts.
