Gulf coast condo rental

Does anybody have any recommendation for a website or real estate agency to rent a condo in the Madeira Beach, Treasure Island area? I've never stayed in the area before and I'm a little hesitant to just go through an unknown and thought I'd check here first!!. I do know about VBRO, but any other suggestions? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Wish I could help...we were looking for the Panama area, and found www.garrettrealty.com through an inquiry we made on VRBO.

My parents are there now, and really enjoying their one bedroom condo

But that's not the area you need, obviously

I think I would start with the online newspaper listings for the area - browse houses for sale, and see if the websites connect for rentals.

... if you find anything, please post and let us know - mom and dad want to try that area next winter

Thanks, I hope your parents have a great vacation. I did find a site called Rentalo dot com. Has anybody used them before? They connect you to owners who have properties for rent. Just looking for any feedback.

We've used it before, and had great success.

I just find the site a little irritating to navigate But haven't visited there lately.

There are literally tons of sites for vacation rentals...what amazes me is when I start recognizing homes from other sites

Or maybe I just spend waaaay too much time on the computer

What time of the year are you planning on going? We have rented condos in Maderia Beach for the last 5 years and have used http://www.vrbo.com
I know the area well and could direct you to some nice condos.

Thanks, Jeffreyml. We're looking to go in April. I'm interested in Villa Madeira and Chambre, definitely want something on the beach with a pool. I've also looked at Redington Shores, Indian Shores and Treasure Island, but Mad. Beach seems to have more activity, which might be better with 12, 11 and 8 year old kids. Any thoughts on this??

I'd like to hear about some nice condos there as well. We stayed in Madiera beach in 2004 and enjoyed it, but can't remember the name of the place. It was across the street from the public beach. Our particular unit wasn't great, but they were all different.

We hope to go back to the area and I'd like to save some favorites for then!

One Condo complex we stay in quite often is Maderia Norte. It's directly on the Gulf and across the street from http://johnspass.comJohn's Pass and all the shopping and restauraunts you need. The area is great for children of that age. I'll attach a link to a condo we've rented and also some links to activities in the area.

If your going in early April, some may be booked already. But some are available the last 2 weeks.

The kids love the Candy Kitchen, home made ice cream and fudge, just about any kind of candy you could think of from your younger years. They even stock numerous bottled pops that you can never find.

lots to do we walked on this street with loads of shops went on a pirate cruise and had a ton of fun,
have a good time...
