Guitar Hero & Band Hero

Does anyone know if the instruments for these 2 games are compatible? We own band hero and now DD wants guitar hero.

DH is telling me yes. We have guitar hero and just bough band hero last night... haven't tried it yet. He said you can play the guitar hero games with your Band hero guitar but it won't have the drums or mic or anything else, just guitar.

IIRC, it varies by instrument, platform, and specific game.

http://www.audioholics.com/buying-g...nd-guitar-hero-instrument-compatibility-guide has a chart, although it's not particularly up to date. (And I think our GH-for-Wii guitars work with both GH and RB, which the chart says isn't supposed to be the case.)
