I am a little ashamed to admit this but...

I love the Muskrat Love song Wallyb shared in its entirety in the Valentines' day thread below (haven't thought about it in probably more than 10 years -- but now I can't get it out of my head.)

Am I the only aurally unsophisticated boo bee here or do others have similar slightly embarrassing proclivities?

Let's Get It On - Marvin Gaye

I've been really tryin', baby
Tryin' to hold back this feelin' for so long
And if you feel like I feel, baby
Then come on, oh, come on
Whoo, let's get it on
Ah, babe, let's get it on
Let's love, baby
Let's get it on, sugar
Let's get it on
Whoo-ooh-ooh

We're all sensitive people
With so much to give
Understand me, sugar
Since we got to be
Let's live
I love you

There's nothin' wrong
With me lovin' you
Baby, no, no
And givin' yourself to me can never be wrong
If the love is true
Oh, babe, ooh, ooh

Don't you know
How sweet and wonderful life can be?
Whoo-ooh
I'm askin' you, baby
To get it on with me
Ooh, ooh, ooh

I ain't gonna worry, I ain't gonna push
Won't push you, baby
So come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, baby
Stop beatin' 'round the bush, hey

Let's get it on, ooh, ooh
Let's get it on
You know what I'm talkin' 'bout
Come on, baby, hey, hey
Let your love come out
If you believe in love
Let's get it on, ooh, ooh
Let's get it on, baby
This minute, oh yeah
Let's get it on
Please, please, get it on
Hey, hey

I know you know
What I've been dreamin' of
Don't you, baby?
My whole body is in love
Whoo

I ain't gonna worry, no, I ain't gonna push
I won't push you, baby, whoo
Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, darlin'
Stop beatin' 'round the bush, hey

Gonna get it on
Beggin' you, baby, I want to get it on
You don't have to worry that it's wrong
If the spirit moves you, let me groove you good
Let your love come down
Oh, get it on, come on, baby

Do you know I mean it?
I've been sanctified
Hey, hey
Girl, you give me good feelings, so good

Nothin' wrong with love
If you want to love me
Just let yourself go
Oh, baby
Let's get it on

Hey, I'm singing along! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I'm a huge Barry Manilow fan (and deep down inside so is everyone else).

I'm a closet Debbie Gibson fan (there, I admit it).

Of course, one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" movies is "Grease 2".

"Hey Paulette take a look over here
I'm your kingpin, honey and I'm gettin' in gear!"

"Hey Johnny, Johnny, gonna bowl, that's right
and I just might be your baby tonight!"

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Grease 2, don't even get me started!

"America is calling, let's care enough to give our very best
For if we give our very best, I know that we can more than past the test,
If I could have three wishes, I'd wish that you lived free,
I'd wish for amber waves of grain, from sea to shining sea
Let's do it for our country, the red white and the blue..."

"Talent show? How'd he know?" Because it's Michael you dummy!

See what you started!

I love Barry Manilow, and I am proud of it, so I guess it's not a guilty pleasure after all. I own 4 of his concert DVD's and many CD's too. I guess I've become Will Truman.

Guilty pleasure?
I own CD's from all of the American Idol winners AND Clay Aiken and Katherine McPhee. I even have a CD of Clay's performances from when he was on the show.

OMG so do i... well not all of them
I don't have that sandwich guy he beat clay.

My other guilty pleasure is Air supply and bread
i have them on my I tunes at work. I keep them in a folder named Showtunes.LOL

Well, I have guilty music pleasures, but I must confess... it isn't Barry Manilow. Whew! Scares me!!!

Mine? Oh, you know. Those one hit wonders from the eighties, and some of the eighties party bands. Adam and the Ants, anyone? :rotfl2:

I think all of us have one musical guilty pleasure in common. DISNEY MUSIC!
I have well over 60 Disney music cd's in my collection, plus many records. But my collection is not just soundtracks. I have the classical music compiliation like "Heigh Ho Mozart" and "Bibbidy Bobbidy Bach", The Instrumental Impressions CD, The Mike Curb Congregation Disney CD from the 70's, Rhythm of the Pridelands, Countless park anniversary cd's, "The Best of Country sings The Best of Disney," "Mouse House" And on vinyl, I have the Mickey Mouse Club Album (70's version)

Friday was Showtime Day from Disneyland
Lyrics (If I remember right)
It's showtime, get up and go time
Showtime, no feeling low time
Showtime, with the Mouseketeers.

Oh yeah and I stile have the Country Bear Jamboree soundrack, the Pirates record and even the picture disc from the Main St. Electrical Parade.

What makes this a true guilty pleasure? These are mine! I have no kids, so I can't make up any excuses for why I have them. It's just my Disnoid thing.

Of course, given this board, I'm a huge Disney theme park music fan. Especially, shows and parades. And I know it was designed for the tweens and is a Disney Channel Movie, but I love High School Musical. Oh, and back in the day, I was really into the boy bands (98º, Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync).

Nothing wrong with show-parade music. Nothing is a better pick me up for me than Spectromagic!!
Now the boy band thing- -:sad2:

I own Britney Spears' "Everytime" and "Toxic" remix EPs...

I will admit one more... then I need to stop. Many people think I'm nuts as it is.

I love the movie, From Justin to Kelly -- the American Idol movie made in 2003. It is often listed with the worst movies ever made. It's not Plan 9 from Outerspace or They Saved Hitler's Brain, but it is cheesier than Velveeta.

LOL It is the worst movie ever.

Of course, my current favorite movie is Reefer Madness. It's added to a list of movies I love like Psycho Beach Party, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and not to forget the great Evil Dead/Army of Darkness trilogy.

I'll admit it - I love American Idol. I own a few of the CDs of the artists that have come from the show. I also used to be big into the pop scene - boybands/teen queens (in my defense, I was 15 when they were big). I still love Hanson though. I won't budge on that one.

Oops! I forgot...
Since a couple of you brought up boy bands, I still have a NKOTB concert on VHS from around 1990. I recorded one of their PPV shows. I still watch it around once a year. Jordan was hot back then. Joey had bad hair on this show though.
