Can I request a switch in guides? I have never met my original guide and only see a name that means nothing on adverts that arrive at the mailbox. I don't think I have spoken with him.

I went to the SSR DVC tour and added on points early this year and met Michael. He was very kind and did a good and efficient job. When we went back to Disney a month later we were waiting at Bomas and the man next to us says to DS, I bet you have a horse named Cowboy. It was Michael who after seeing hundreds of people, remembered a key point about our family.

I want Michael to be our guide since we have met him and he did remember us.

How can I get it switched?
 
You can call Member Services and request a different guide.

I'm surprised your guide though isn't the one who assisted you when you were there in person - perhaps he/she was off that day or with another buyer.

You need to call the Preview Center at SSR. The phone number is (800) 800-9100. Ask to speak to a Manager and tell them that you want to change Guides.

We recently changed guides, for the same reason. Our original guide left DVC, and we were randomly assigned someone new. We've never met him. I thought we'd get to when we added on while staying at BLT last month. But then we found out that he's a "work at home" guide, meaning we would never meet him. We met with a wonderful woman who we immediately liked to do our add on. Once home, I called and she is now our guide.
