I'm jammed up because there is no released revised schedule for parks from 5/31-6/7 when we'll be there. I usually rely on easywdw most recommended parks.

What are the rules of thumb for choosing which park to hit which day?

1. only do AM XMH if you rope drop and leave for early afternoon break when crowd is heavy
2. if not doing AM XMH, choose the park that had PM XMH the night before
3. avoid MK on weekends and Mondays

any tips would be much appreciated. 60 day window is tomorrow!

I would recommend Park Hoppers so you can change to a different park if the one you are in is crowded.

Another recommendation is to avoid Epcot during evening hours on weekends.
Many local residents have the "After 4 PM Epcot" Annual Pass. This Epcot only annual pass is only $75.84 for new FL residents and $234.30 to renew from the previous year. It even grants free parking.

My 60 Day window is tomorrow also. Honestly, you just need a good plan. We avoid EMHs altogether unless Disney changes things at the last minute which they did to us 2 years ago (added EMH mornings to MK on a day we had planned to go).

We aren't going to hit any EMH mornings this year, but in years past, we hit them right at RD and knock out everything by noon.

The only rule we are breaking is that we will hit MK on our last day which is Monday 6/5.

Good luck tomorrow!

We don't go to any of the parks on an EMH day. We just get there at rope drop and immediately do a few of the most popular rides before it gets crowded and then move onto some of the secondary rides - people coming in the park after rope drop will just be getting in line for the most popular rides so the secondary rides are almost deserted. Then we FP the remaining popular rides that we didn't do in the first hour sometime in the late afternoon. We have followed this plan for years and regardless of how busy the park is or what day of the week it is we generally never have a wait longer than 30 minutes for any ride, with most rides having less than a 15 minute wait.

I agree w @DrummerBoy523 you just need a good plan. I've had great days on EMH days and non-EMH days. "Avoiding EMH days" isn't a good rule because for every resort guest that goes because it's EMH, an offsite guest will avoid because it's EMH. You just miss out on your EMH. Go to these if you'll use them. If not, don't.

What schedule are you looking for? I've been following along since we're going at the same time as you... WDW has updated their pdf times for June twice so far, and the hours for the AK have changed again just recently.

I plan things more around splitting up our parks. Like if we have 3 days at the MK, then they would be approximately our first, last, and one day in the middle. Do you have ADRs? Our park days were pretty locked in 4 mo ago...

we aren't doing any ADR's this year. i'm using the pdf of WDW operating hrs last edited on 2/10/2017. it matches what is on the Disney website.

For me, I have to decide what I want to accomplish in each particular park. Our next trip is in September, 4 park days, 1 rest day/party night, no hoppers.

MK: we enjoy BOG breakfast (for real!) so we want a PPO ADR only on a day that MK opens at 9.
Epcot: This trip we wanted an Akershus PPO ADR to satisfy DD's princess castle needs, so that also needed to be a 9 opening. Additionally I was trying to avoid F&W weekends in Epcot.
DHS: I wanted morning EMH to get a jump on Jedi training sign up, as no ADR breakfast offerings appeal to us there. I'd have chosen an EMM day if they were still offering that, as it really would have been perfect for us. If they bring it back in the fall, I'd go for it.
AK: I wanted morning EMH to head to Pandora and do whichever ride we don't get a FP+ for. We find AK to be really enjoyable in those early morning hours. We'll head back for a break before returning late afternoon to enjoy Pandora at night.
