Ok, so we received a package with our guide's phone number about 3 weeks ago. Well we have left 2 messages because we have some questions. No return call. Our last message was last week. I know she's in because her voicemail says so.

This is very frustrating because we are going to buy it's just a matter of when. I refuse to give her my business at this point. I don't have patience for this type of service.

Can anyone recommend a good guide?

We have had great success with Scott MacDonald. He gave us his cell & home numbers & always called back prompty whe he couldn't take our call.

we have michael lewis lovely man always asking after the family
we do everything by e mail

Our guide is Byron Hegelson. He is very nice, low key and low pressure. Didn't even try to talk me into SSR when I really wanted VWL . . .

Our guide Nick Tamberrino was fabulous. We did our first trip to Disney at Easter. We did not do the DVC tour but I had watched the DVC channel A LOT. My husband started talking about going back in Nov 2007, so we called to get info. Nick was great!! We had a lot of questions since we have yet to even see a DVC room, we had tons and I mean tons of questions. All went well and we are making our first trip home in Nov. Nick' snumber is number is 1800-827-7199. He always returned our call that same day. good luck

Make sure you're not on a "do not call" list. I've read other stories here (perhaps a search will help) from people who reported they weren't getting a call back and the reason was that DVC was unable to call due to the "do not call" restrictions.

It might be worth asking a DVC operator if they know anything about it.

But I called them first. I have left the messages.

That may not matter. Check out this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=748844

That's an older thread but I swear I read one within the last two months that said the same thing. It sounds like DVC's phone system may be rigged to not allow people to call numbers on the DNC list unless your number has been properly recorded as belonging to someone with whom they have a business relationship.

Obviously I don't know what the problem might be in your situation. Could be that your Guide is just a dog. But people in sales positions usually have a vested interest in...selling. ;) So my inclination is to think that there may be some logical reason why she isn't calling you back. This seems like one possible reason.

RON BRUMBAUGH - all the way - has been with DVC since the beginning and he brings all the experience but still has the passion for his work and clients.

I agree. He is a warehouse of knowledge.

Nick T. is our guide, too! And when we were buying, Nick said since we were on the Do Not Call (.gov) list, we had to authorize him to call us back. I don't remember exactly what we did...it was more than 2 yrs ago, but I do know it was an issue. Nick is great and calls us back the same day each time!
