I called the guide that I was assigned to and he told me that there was no waitlist to add on points at the BWV's and that there never was one that he can recall!! He then told me if I want more points I should add on at BCV and use the points at BWV's at the 7 mo. window. I told him that we like to go during early dec and that I don't think I would be able to get the rooms I want at 7 mo using BCV points. He said early dec was a slow time and I shouldn't have a problem.

I think I need a new guide. What do you all think?? Any advice can I request a certain guide. Anyone want to loan me your guide:D ;) ?

thanks for any help and advice.

Nelle

If she's still there (I haven't added points lately), Celeste Chaffaut was my guide and was very nice. 1-800-827-7109.

Boardwalk is already filled for the early part of December. You might want to consider a resale if that's where you really want to spend most of your time.

Nelle.... I would seek out a new guide... Early dec is one of the busiest times for DVC properties..... He just wants you to buy BCV from him instead of BWV resale.... I dont know anything about waitlists for BWV, so I am no help there......

I just changed my guide and I thought it would be hard but it wasnt.... they were nice about it. Just say it a "clicking issue" and Poof a new guide appears. As far as asking for someone in partciuar <sp> I guess you can....

Hi, Nelle. I contacted my guide about 5 weeks ago to ask if such a waiting list for BWV add-ons still exists. (I had added on last year at BWV after being on that very waiting list for about 3 weeks. Wish I'd added more at that time! )

My guide said that there definitely is such a list, and he added me to it. Obviously, he said there's no guarantee if anything will ever come of it. But he said that I have nothing to lose by putting my name on and seeing what happens and I agree. I would consider a resale, but I'm looking for a smaller number of points than what I could probably find on a resale, at least in a cost effective way.

Feel free to call my guide. His name is Kim Moore, and I have really liked him. Very congenial and quick to answer phone calls. Low key and knowledgeable. His number is 800-827-7172.

Good luck! :)

Thanks everyone for the help. I knew from my earlier post that there was still a waitlist, but when I called and he told me that there was no waitlist I was disappointed. I will definately call and switch guides.
I would go through a resale again but we only want about 50 points so going through disney would be better money wise.

Thanks again.

Nelle
