Guide books?

Last year when planning our first family trip to WDW we bought Birnbaugms guide to Disney and it was great for the kids to go through and plan everything they wanted to do so we didn't miss a thing. We are now planning our second trip and this one will include stops at Universal and IOA. Does anyone know if there is a similar guide book and where I could find it?

The only book solely devoted to Universal Orlando is by Kelly Monaghan. As you may have guessed, it's titled, "Universal Orlando." It's a great book, and I highly recommend it. I'm going to Universal myself for the first time in May and it's been a great resource. I bought mine at Border's, but I know that Amazon carries it as well. It's a pretty mainstream book, so you should be able to find it at any large bookstore. Happy planning!

When I was "book shopping" for our Universal trip, I didn't have a chance to ask the DISer's... I just bought the above mentioned book by Kelly. EXCELLENT book!!! Highly recommend it! I won't tell you how many mini-post-it's are marking different things in that book.... ....my UO bible!

I might be alone here, but I was crazy enough to go commando the first time ..
I did learn this website later, but I'd gone to UO once or twice previously with my class trip which was a while before, and we just .. went in an offpeak time (thankfully) and did what we felt like doing at the time, and all went good.

Nonetheless, a book is definitely good, esp. about UO! I might pick it up just to read it.
