On our recent trip a CM friend was telling me about a program where frequent visitors might work for a day or two at WDW. It sounded interesting to me. Is there anyone out there who has done this? What kind of jobs are you given to do? What kind of compensation (not that important).

I love helping people when I am in the parks and appreciate the many kindnesses shown to us as well and would dearly love to experience being a cast member, for even a day.

I've never heard anything about this, Linda. How interesting.

Never heard of such a thing and I have been P/T for 6 years. There used to be casual/seasonal where you could work as little as 1 day and year and still get some of the benefits.

USF-IOA uses senior citizens as temps on a volunteer basis during the year.

Hi there Native! I would figure that you would know all about it as you are a font of all information IMHO. (grin)

My friend has worked for Disney for many years and I will send her an email and request more info. I am sure she knows what she is talking about though.

Maybe someone else will amble in with some info also. I was more interested in what kinds of jobs they might allow us guests to do cause, as much as I love Disney, I would not want to spend the day cleaning toilets or washing dishes. I do enough of that at home, in the real world.

This was one of our best trips ever and we have never had a bad one as of yet. Am already planning our next one, May 2004. I am going to meet Rider then. Gives me goosebumps thinking about it.
