I'll be in Disney next month and might have a guest want to pop in for dinner with me at the WL. Won't be spending the night or anything.

What is the protocol for this? Pay for parking? Can I call in to authorize this guest to come in?

When they pull up to the guard shack they should just tell the guard they are coming to visit you for dinner. No paying, no need for you to do anything prior.

Thank you so much! Good info.

I would give the guest your room number so they can tell the guard "I'm here to see Person X in room Y and having dinner with them". Disney doesn't give out room numbers so having that info will let the guard know that you have been in contact with this person they are letting through the gate. Also, let the guest know to have their driver's license out and the guard might take down their license plate number. Any or all of that could happen. Best to be prepared.

Thanks! This answered my question. Guest would not be spending the evening nor visiting parks, just having a bite to eat.

Thanks for all the feedback.

WDW resorts will let the guest in. Don't do what I did, however. If you have an ADR with your guests, do not put their names down on the ressie. I did that and it cost me 2 food credits. If you have the ADR, put down your name and put the guests down as "Guest."
