Guests must reconfirm the reservation 24 to 48 hours prior to dining time??

Was just reading about the show. What do they mean reconfirm; We've never had to do this before ...

I have a question about this also. When I made my reservation the CM said that we could not go to a resort's Guest Services desk to pick up our tickets because we are staying at the Dolphin and not a Disney resort. Anyone know if this is accurate? Would also like to know how we "reconfirm" our reservation with them.

We are staying at the POR, so we can pick up the HDDR tickets at the guest services desk there up to 7 days before? Can we also reconfirm the reservations from guest services at our resort, or will we have to phone to reconfirm?

I have no idea ... usually we don't reconfirm the reservations. We are getting in that day and going there for dinner.
Anyone have any experience with this?
