I could swear that my wedding planner said I could ship the wedding goodie bags to her and she would be sure they made it to the appropriate resort when my guests check in, but she says she can't and I can't find the email with that information.
So, I am wondering how you all got your stuff there? This would have to be for intimate brides. She said that they did this for custom brides but not intimates. She said I could ship them directly to the resorts or I could call the florist and have her deliver them. Wouldn't the florist way cost me? I imagine it will cost a lot to ship them anyway.
The thing is that all of our guests are arriving in Florida before we do. So, I wanted to have their bags waiting for them when they checked in. I guess if worst came to worst, I could just give the bags to the guests as they passed by our house (it is a stopping point on their way down.) I just wanted it to be exciting for them. We have kept these a secret from them all this time!

I'm a custom bride and my sales manager (I haven't been assigned my wedding planner yet) told me that I would have to take care of that or have the florist do it...I was estimated about 2-4 dollars per bag. I am going to do it myself...I have some guests arriving before me, but I figured it will just be a delivered surprise when I get there:) My more important question is WHAT are you putting in them??? I bought all sorts of disney trinkets on disneydeals.com and princess chapsticks from Avon, but I have few things for my male guests. I also bought little 3 oz size sunblocks from panamajack.com for $4 each. I'm also having a lady from my office make door hangers for the hotel doors so everyone knows where people from my wedding are staying...And I want to get mickey macaroni for each bag...but I think that is it...I don't want to spend TOO much on these...and yet, I don't want to look skimpy. Any thoughts, opinions, ideas??

I was wondering what kind of stuff you put in your bags, I am planning on doing the same thing, but when I was trying to think of what to put in the bags my mind went blank. :confused3

What about a cd with disney music and a pic of you and your fiance on it, or maybe like some 1 dollar disney dollars just in case they want to get a snack, maybe you could ship shirts that you make personally for each person that say something like *** wedding and the date with a disney picture on it. You could also go to a disney outlet and maybe get the beanie babys that are $1 or there is always oriental trading company and you could include window decorating supplies with something personal so everyone will know they are part of the wedding celebration.

we got a bunch of free 5x7 picture frames with pink roses around them (lucky us, since our wedding is pink) so, I used my graphic design skills to put together a little "thanks for coming to our wedding" thing that we put in the frame. It has mickey and minnie on it too (that's our theme). We also got a bunch of little candles in jars with pink and white ribbons on clearance at Target for 1.00 a piece during the valentines clearance. also during the clearance we got pink wrapped hershey kisses and put them in little tulle bags that we bought at a craft store. I got a couple packs of disney princess pens of ebay so we put those in there. I also contacted my wedding planner and she sent me some pamphlets of the parks and of the spas so they will be able to look through those. I have also been doing newsletters and we are putting another newsletter in there for the week of their stay including a printout of all the show times, etc for their vacation dates. We are also planning on printing out some park maps so they can plan their stays .

That sounds awesome...I like the pamphlet idea and the newsletter idea...Would you mind sharing your newsletters? You can email me at codie@aol.com. Thanks!

we're having the same debate on our guest bags. were either shipping them down to the florist to be delivered which can get expensive for all the things we have or were driving down to florida with our bags & then dropping them off at the resort to be given at check in.

we're doing one bag a guest room for a total of 24. we bought the personalized bags from southhorizon.com on sale for $2/each. we're including a mickey mouse plush, wedding candle bought in bulk, palm tree journal, sunscreen from the dollarstore, ghiradelli chocolate bars, personalized water bottles, oranges, a initiary of our events & wedding day schedule along with some misc. snacks like pretzels & muffins. we also want to include some disney dollars. there are also 9 kids gift bags we made from bags from cheaptotes for 99cents & then personalized with each kids name with supplies from micheals craft store for 9. we are including disney books on clearance from barnes&noble, glow in the dark swords & crowns from the dollarstore, animal puzzles, mickey mouse playing cards from walgreens for $1, disney fruit snacks and then baby items for 3 with gerber baby food, bear in the big blue house bibs, bottles & pacifiers from the dollarstore and wetwipes. in the end it will be about $600 for all the bags.

Wow TwoJo...you are really organized!! Your bags sound awesome too...I'm sort of jealous:) I didn't think to go to the dollar store for sunblock...I am going to try walgreens for the decks of cards...I really wanted to include cards, but couldn't find themed ones very cheap...thanks for all the great ideas!

thanks codie. we bought almost all of our items already (with the exception of food & water) which we have organized in our many wedding boxes. i was surprised at the things i found at the dollarstore like the sunblock, glow in the dark toys, animal puzzles (we're having our welcome dinner at dtd's rainforest cafe so i liked the pulling in the theme) i also bought the bear in the big blue house bibs, bottles, pacifiers & books there for our 3 baby guests.

best of luck ladies with your oot/guest bags!

So far we have different things for our guest. Our Bridesmaids have their own personalized bags with things that pertain to them ( one is in love with Minnie, while the other is stuck in the 50's era) For the parents we have coffee, disney mugs that we found at the charater warehouse for $1.99 a piece. I am planning on purchasing bottles of water that are personalized and having them shipped to FFIL for the other guest bags. And I am still looking for some sunscreen. I LOVE the idea of putting in disney dollars in the bags, that is SO great! All in all I guess it's going to be snacks, a disney hand held fan with Lilo and Stitch (our wedding theme), some sunblock, bottled water and I am hoping to pick up little trinkets from now untill then. Keep the good idea's coming!!

Shonnel :earsgirl:

Sorry FFIL lives in South Georgia and will be driving the bags down.
