We will be staying at the coronado springs resort. We have freinds who live in orlando and we would like to have them come over for a "pool day" while we are there. Will this be a big hassle? Do they allow you to have a guest?
TIA!

The pools are for paying resort guests only. However, depending on the time of year, you may be able to invite guests. The best thing would be to check with the front desk when you check in.

While we were staying at OKW one year my husband's sister came and visited us (she lives in northern Florida). We checked with the front desk first and they said it was okay and they let the guard shack know she was coming to visit us. She didn't use the pools, but we walked around and looked at everything and she loved the landscaping. Probably a good advertisement for future customers as long as it's not a holiday or an absolute zoo for crowds!

Anyone is welcome to visit any WDW resort, however it's clearly posted at all WDW resort pools that the pool is for the exclusive use of registered guests of the hotel that that pool is located at. It's doesn't say registered guests and their friends, relatives, and the bum they rolled for spare change last night.

Wow! Hostile much? I asked a question, looking for information. I'm about done with these boards and people who feel no answer is complete without their snide, negative remarks.

We've had relatives come visit by the pools for the day several times. It's never been a problem. I wouldn't try it at YC/BC, but as long as it's not too crowded you probably won't have a problem at all.
Ignore the bad posts, most people go out of their way to be helpful. Definitely outways the negative!! ;)

Wow!! Im totally sick of people giving rude answers to ligit questions. The point of these boards is to answer peoples questions about Disney "issues", not to insult a person on there question!! What seems to be the problem with this question?? MKCP5 asked a question and how do you respond?? With a smart a*s remark. Flame on!

Invite them over, after checking with the front desk.....If they don't care then I see no problem with it :-)

My response was completely FACTUAL. If the OP had taken two seconds to search for the answer she would have found three other threads from TODAY asking the same question, and getting the same answer, pool hopping is not allowed, it's posted at every pool that the pools are for registered guests. Personally I think it's RUDE to ask questions without at least looking through one or two pages to see if it had bene asked already that day.

Additionally the OP is a regular WDW guest according to other posts she's had in the past couple days, so she should already know the answer.

I think it's rude to make fun of homeless people, or bums as you so eloquently put it. JMHO :flower:

I'm sorry if you found that "politically incorrect". I wasn't trying to "make fun" of homeless people. I give heavily to a charity that tries to assist the homeless, and certainly do'nt find it a laughing matter.

No where in my post does it challange the truth of your post! Big deal if the question has been beat into the ground (along with the "Your Favorite Resort" polls) but you shouldn't go around blowing up in peoples faces because they didn't "scan" the entire board to find if the question had been posted allready!! If this kind of thing bothers you, maybe you shouldn't use the boards anymore! Deal With It! :sad2:

PI or not, the bum remark was a bit out of line. You could have made the same point without that comment.

I think it was a totally legit question. I have been to motels before and they have posted that the pool was for registered guests and we inquired and they let us bring in a couple friends--just as long as they knew.

Well thank you SO much for clearing that up Gladys Kravitz! If these questions annoy you so much why do you bother reading the thread, much less replying? The bum remark was totally unnecessary btw.
Yours truly,
Samantha Stevens (your neighbor from across the street ;)

There was no Scanning needed, an almost identical post was three posts down. Really wouldn't have taken much effort. Additionally, beause this poster has said in other threads that they have bene to WDW many times, I wonder if they weren't just trolling.

Gladys posts on another board, but we won't go there, will we.

Yes, I could have, and I apologized for offending you. I did not mean to do so.
