Are you doing this? It seems like a great idea (and a way for you to get more pictures of things you may not have noticed/seen). I've been to a few weddings where they have tent cards on the table with disposable cameras for guests to take pictures--only thing is I've seen the pictures afterward and they SUCK. They are so dark and you can't really see anything.

Someone suggested having people take their own pictures on their digital cameras and send them to you via an online upload site.

Have any of you done this or planning to? Do people actually go on the site and upload pictures for you? Which upload site is best? I assume you just create an account and then give guests the username and password?

Thoughts/suggestions?

everyone at our wedding had digital cameras. THey all sent us cd's afterwords so that we could print our own copies of what we wanted. We got TONS of ceremony pics and some good shots of the rest of our day where we didnt' have a photographer.

We're not putting cameras on the tables, but we are including a card with log on info for a photo account at walgreens so that people could upload their wedding/vacation shots there and we could all share! :cutie:

Here's the card I'm inserting into their welcome folders.

That's a good idea! Have an uploading site for everyone!! I might have to look into that!

You can do it for free on Walmart.com or Walgreens.com. I know for sure there's no limit for the number of photos you can upload to Walgreens... We just happened to pick those because there's a Walgreens closer than a Walmart to both me and my parents! :thumbsup2

Make sure your guests are using high resolution! Or at least ask them to if you want their pictures. I have some really nice ones that are useless because they were shot in such low res.

How cute!

We plan to have about 12 cameras for our at home reception. I'm going to put some on the tables and give one each to my bridesmaids to take pictures through the day. There fairly cheap to buy and develope, so i figure if we get a few photos then its worth it.

Although at my aunties wedding several people walked away with the cameras and she never saw them again or the pictures.

we have MobileMe (which used to be dotmac) through Apple. I have a whole photo album with different sections for different events - my family loves it because not only can they download MY pics, but they can upload theirs and share with everyone. I'm almost certain you don't need a mac to buy it...but, it is a service plan (it comes with ton more stuff)
