Guest Services not checking old tickets by fax?

I found 1 maybe two unused tickets from 2006 and I want to see if they are still good. Other threads all say to fax a copy to guest services to check them. I called today and they informed me they no longer do this. I really need to know, so that I can buy tickets before leaving if they are not valid.

Anybody with recent information or experience?

Backup plan- we are planning on arriving at IOA early Sunday, is there some way to just run over to guest services quickly on Sat morning without paying parking and wasting a lot of time? (we are staying offsite)

I just called myself and was told they can only be checked at the park itself.
