So a friend and I were roaming thru random rooms, as we're prone to do (we take turns picking random open rooms and popping in for a bit to explore). When we came across a "Cafe". The owner was there, with others who were serving as waitresses, busboys, etc. It was fun for a bit, but soon she started getting hit with trading requests. When I said "Check Please", the owner walked up and requested a trade. LOL. I declinded and instead typed " - Pays Bill - " and " - Tips - "
Booted. Both of us.
ROTFLOL!
Is this what ppl are expecting when they create this "cafe rooms"? Very odd.

Gotta love greedy players.

I've been opening my backyard cookout room off and on over the last few
weekends, a room I created last summer. To me, it's a hangout room
where I can cook for my friends and random guests, such as you.

I laugh when I have had people thinking it was a cafe. There are no
workers and bills when you grill outside your house, so there aren't any
in my VMK back yard either.

I make anything from burgers to pizza to filet mignon and lobster tails. Only
the best for my guests. :rotfl2: (I have a brick oven built in to my grill area.
It's fabulous!)

There are types of rooms in VMK I stay away from, typically because the
owners try to take advantage of others (sometimes, but not always):

Cute or Boot
Falling Chairs
Cafe/Hotel/Restaurant

The last grouping isn't as bad as the first two, but if the owner asks me to
pay to stay, I just leave.

This explains alot. My bro set up a free cafe, just for kicks, not for points or anything and when some people walked in they asked if it was free. I'd thought it was pretty odd that they asked. :)

The nerve of some people.

ohhh I dislike when owners do that. They have a pretend cafe with pretend food, and then they aspect real money (ahh.. vmk terms would be items, clothes, or pins). Don't understand why they would do that... My friend and her team puts on an amazing play that lasts for about 45 minutes or longer, and she charges a weekend pin. She uses the pins to trade for more set funiture. I totally understand that one.. But not these virtual cafes and restruatants. They are just for fun....

Cafes are a waste of time, imo. You can't eat. It's fun though. If you have to "pay" to get in or something then leave.
