We are arriving Monday evening and I want to upgrade to AP and buy the TIW card. We are staying at OKW

1. How late is Guest Relation open?
2. Is it possible to drive there on the way to the resort to get it done with? If not, how long does it take to get there from OKW....best route...Thanks

I found the two locations on the DTD maps. What would you recommend....is it a quick stop on the way to the resort or is it more complicated than that?

Why not check in @ OKW and take the boat to DD, parking at DD can be a problem at times. It has been reported that offsiters park at DD to take advantage of Disney buses to parks to avoid paying for parking.

Well, I guess it really depends approx what time you're arriving in the evening. Since you're staying at OKW it's really very easy to take a boat over to DTD from OKW after you've checked in......parking is pretty much always a nightmare at the DTD parking lots. By the time you find parking, then walk to Guest Relations you've wasted probably at least 1/2 hour.....which could be better spent getting checked in.....throw your bags in your room and head to the boat ramp at OKW.....or if it's getting a bit late.....just check in and don't even go to your room yet......park somewhere near the OKW dock and just head to DTD.

If you go to the Guest Relations down by Quest/LaNouba, it is quick and painless. They were still open at 10pm last Tuesday night. Some of the maps still show GR down by Planet Hollywood. It has moved since the Characters in Flight attraction went in.

We stayed at SSR in December and found that it was very easy to check in at the resort and then hop on a boat to go to DDT and get our APs and TiW card. The process worked very well for us. The only difference is that we arrived at around noon time.

I didn't realize the Guest Relations window in the middle of DTD had closed; so I took the boat to the westside and walked BY the guest relations window not realizing until I got there. I then walked to the east end and went to the guest relations there and got my TIW card (already had AP). It was painless--and I love that Guest Relations desk because it is very similar in decor to Storyteller's Cafe in the Grand Californian.

Can't you just go to guest relations at any of the parks prior to going in???:confused3

Or do they just handle AP and not the dining?
