Guest of other resort but want to see AKL

If dining at AKL but not a AKL resort guest, is there somewhere we can go afterwards and view the savannah? This will be in the evening - would we even be able to see anything at night? Also, are you allowed in if only dining at the food court area? We really don't want a sit down dinner but thought it would be cool to go over there on arrival night and grab a burger and check out the scenery. Is this allowed?

When the Lodge first opened Non Guests had to have a PS for a meal in one of the two main restaurants. That is not the case anymore. When you arrive just tell the guard you are going in to have a meal but you don't have a PS. They will let you in. You really don't even have to tell them you are eating there. You can eat at the "food court' calle Mara and wander by the pool over to one of the viewing areas. You can also check out the lobby and head out the doors at the far end and wander around Arusha rock and look at the Animals. There is something called "moon Glow" (mellow spotlights)that assists in seeing the animals after dark.

We took the bus from AK to the AKL to visit it (we were staying at the Swan). We had a late breakfast at Mara and wandered around the grounds and lobby. It was very enjoyable.

Yes you are allowed to visit other resorts that you are not staying at. We visit other resorts every time we go and have never had a problem.

We went for Dinner at Boma which was really good. We went early to look round the resort and check it out for a future stay. If you take the Disney bus there, they wont even stop you to check if you are a guest or there for Dinner.
