Which ones did you get?

I heard the Tinkerbell ones weren't "all that"

she told me that they where engraved with black not white. I hope that she is right. My daughter is a huge peter pan fan so she wanted Tink and since I love Tink, Mickey wasn't even an option. ;) They should be waiting for at the gift shop part of Everthing that Pop in May when we arrive. That way we didn't pay shipping. :cheer2:

I got the Mickey 50th ones. They are gold with black lettering. She mentioned the tickerbell ones, but said they are really big, and not good for little ones. Plus I liked the gold ones. I can not wait to pick them up at our resort the day we arrive. A nice surpise for everyone!!

For those asking why... I have read that the CMs make a big deal with the kids wearing these badges. They know their name (so do the characters) so it's more magical for the kids. As far as safety goes, to me, anyone standing around will figure out the kids names quickly even without name tags on. I call my children by their names all the time. I think that they parents having their childrens names on the badges will not make it more likely for a bad guy/gal to target them. It's more likely they will target those whos parents aren't paying attention to the people around them.

Thank you for posting the number. I had meant to do this for the trip in June and somehow I got busy and forgot. Now that I've been reminded, I'll call tomorrow. Think DS (5) will enjoy the surprise.

Just so you know, I got mine sent to the resort. I will pick them up when I get there. A little special magic when we arrive!!

I ordered our GOH badges about 3 weeks before our trip and they were waiting for us at the POR gift shop when we arrived! We got a lot of nice attention from CMs who noticed our kids right away and always said hi and added my children's names, etc. It was a nice touch. I didn't see anyone else in any of the parks wearing them, though. We just got back on Tuesday.

Just so I know...before I order 6 of these for my party going in May...

The 'Guest of Honor' badges are a kids thing only? We are going with my Cousin and his Fiance and another couple...ALL ADULTS. I thought it was a cute idea until I noticed that everybody had a child. SOMEBODY please let me know... :confused3

It is for everybody. I bought badges for adult members of my family. We all get a kick out of being called by name.

I've already have a regular Tink and the original red Mickey GOH badges! Can't wait to go back and get the new Tink!

We bought the badges years ago when you could still have your hometown engraved on them. I stopped wearing mine after a couple times of getting yelled at by Guests who mistook me for a CM. Giving directions all the time to Guests did not bother me, but getting yelled at was too much.
