Guest of honor badges?

I saw a post last week and I think they were called guest of honor badges (like the cast members wear), I PM'd someone, but they never got back to me. How can you order these directly from disney before we head down. Are they made specifically for you, or do they only have the common names and common spellings?

we purchased out DD's guest of honor badge while in WDW, most shops carry them. They are blank when you purchase them and them you have then personalized. They offer different styles, DD go the 'classic' red oval with mickey on it. but they offer different characters like the princesses, pooh and pals, vilians, etc.

I believe you can purchase them online as well from places like giftsofalifetime.com and others...

I bought our GOH badges directly from the Christmas shop at DTD. You can call them directly and they'll ship them to you...OR you can order them and pick them up once you arrive down there (if you don't want to pay for shipping.) Here's the number: (407) 828-2042 I paid $6 for each one, plus tax and shipping...

As the pp said, they are blank so they can put any name on them for you. There are also new ones special for the 50th Celebration! See this thread:

We bought ours (the red oval mickey ones) in MGM, they engraved them there as both my kids have not so common names.

I am trying to decide if we should bring them this trip or get the new 50th celebration ones.

Every CM and character made a big deal over the kids wearing them, and I was surprised to see so few with them. They are super for the 3 year old who whispers her name to Cinderella, LOL!!!!

We leave next Thursday to go and I would love to have them for the kids!
I just ordered through Laughing place - and concerned that they wouldn't get to me in time I called and they said to make a note on the order about the last possible date they can get to me and he would guarantee them to me by then! WICKED nice guy!
I ordered three one Mick's 50th and 2 Tink's 50th's can't wait to gfet them - I will start stalking to postman on Saturday
