I am going to get mine once I get there. I understand MGM sells them, as well as a store in Downtown Disney.

They are more expensive through Gifts of a lifetime. You also pay shipping. If you can wait, get them at the park.

We got ours when we got there at the Christmas Store in DTD. Of course, they didn't have any of our names and we had to wait to get them engraved but it only took about 10 minutes. They are definitely worth it. I had a couple of people think I was a CM and were asking me about parade times lol! My DDs had a great time with them, too. "Wes Palm" the talking tree rolled right up to them and called them by name. The expression on their faces was priceless!!

As of a few days ago BOTH engraving machines at WDW went out for repairs, which means that for anywhere from a week to 3 weeks no one (including Pixies!) will be able to get GOH badges engraved at WDW.

The two locations that currently carry the stock names (most basic 100 names) are still the MGM Five and Dime and the DVMP Days of Christmas Shop (Fairy room).

OH NO! That was my first stop to get one for DS for his 9th B-DAY ON 8/8!!!!!!!!! wHILE i APPRECIATE THE POST TO SAVE ME THE TRIP AND DISAPPOINTMENT) I am so bummed. I might be able find DS name, but DD is not common and always needs to be special ordered. WWWWAAAHHHHHHHH!

Has anyone ever called the WDW stores and had these badges made and mailed to them? Just wondering if it's an option - I'm wondering if the shipping may be cheaper than Giftsofalifetime? I'm also needing a pressed penny book and thought it could all be mailed at once - any thoughts? Thanks again!!

I called about 10 days ago and was told WDW will NOT mail out any engraved GOH badges, they may send them to your resort in advance, but it is a $20 delivery fee.

I was told by my Dreams Unlimited TA that the special name engraving is no longer available. You can only get the GOH badges for "common" names. I think (but am not sure) that she may have also said that you can't get the GOH in DD, only MGM now. Anybody else have any other info? Do you think Haley is a common name?

Sheesh! I really wanted this badge! I sure hope to get one at MGM when we get there next weekend. They will probably have names like Haley and my niece's name, Katelynn, but they might have it spelled differently (Hayley and Caitlin is my guess). I guess it doesn't matter how it's spelled, if it's pronounced the same, that's better than nothing.
