Hi Everyone! I am in a quandary that most people would love! My BEO was based upon 42 guests and the final count looks to be 25 adults and one child (the three babies in our family don't count :goodvibes ) We are getting re-married at the courtyard in Italy with a guitarist. We are having a MK photo shoot that morning. Our reception is at the Attic at BW and we are having brunch. Mickey and Minnie are coming to the reception and I have my cake price too. So far, I am adding (hopefully) the larger 8 X 10 pics from the photo shoot and the friendship boat a la LurkyLoo :cutie: We are having outside photography and videography.

Soooo, what to spend the $1700 on now???? DH thinks the guests won't want to come to a dessert party that night. Can y'all give me some ideas on how to spend the money please? I sent the videography contract off today. I am wondering if I should try to hold up on them charging the deposit and get Disney to do it. The problem with that is I really wanted hi-def and I don't think they do it, right? Please help me spend my money :teacher: :dance3:

Add alcohol? a champagne toast? tuxedo strawberries with the cake? More florals... I am sure there are lots of options there, how about really cool favors??? No idea what, but it seems like you have lots to spare on them.

That's a nice dilemma to have! :thumbsup2

How about getting the vintage rolls? It makes for wonderful pictures and great footage...

You could get the personal mini-cakes and give them as boxed favors to each of your guests... that would knock out several hundred dollars. I know the more elaborate ones cost around $25 each.

You could add a 3rd character...

Or maybe you could add a live musician to the brunch--a guitarist perhaps, like you have for your ceremony? Hey, I'd love to have brunch at the Attic while listening to someone strum some lovely acoustic guitar :cloud9:

Hope this helps!

Those are great ideas :lovestruc I wish there was some way to see all the items that they can do for favors. Mmmm, maybe tuxedo strawberries in favor boxes to take home...

We nixed alcohol at the reception out of deference to my DH's family. They would feel like they had to leave if there were drinking...and since it is early, we just decided not to have it. We could have a cider toast like Carrie did though :drinking1

I also remembered Carrie having ice cream with her cake - can you tell her TR is most recent in my memory

My best friend/photographer has complained that we don't have enough time scheduled for pics in Italy. Do they start earlier if you add a park in like MGM? Also, does anyone ever start their EPCOT wedding any later than 9am?
We have the limo because we have to carry my photog and her photog husband, my two sons and Rick and me...

Thanks for all your ideas so far, please share if you think of anymore  I will have to get with Michelle this coming week!

They are based in the world showcase to take guest from one side to the other and they also transport guests to the BW, YC, BC and Swan and Dolphin. We can pay to have our guest taken from Italy to the BW for the reception :lovestruc Lurkyloo did it and her pics were wonderful!!

This isn't about your original question, but what time are you scheduled to show up at Epcot? We got to Epcot at 8 a.m. (ceremony was at 9, and yes, that's when they have to be) and were able to get professional pictures in about half of the WS countries. Of course, to take advantage, you have to be willing to see each other before the ceremony. There was also plenty of time after the wedding to take pictures - the pre-reception started at 10 and the wedding was basically over by 9:15.

If you decide to take advantage of the time before the wedding, you shouldn't have a problem getting to the park an hour before it starts. HTH!

:goodvibes Oh, I hope we can do that too! Since we are already married and doing the MK photo shoot at 6am, we will have seen each other :lovestruc I guess my photographers like oodles of time but they will have to make do and I would love to get pics in a few surrounding countries. I mentioned to her we would have time afterward for some more pictures.

The only downside to the friendship boat is that it causes me and DH to go with the whole group instead of hanging back for more pictures...

I'm not sure about this, because we didn't use the Friendship boat, but our tour bus made two trips from Italy to the Living Seas. The first trip was for most of our guests and they went to the pre-reception, while our immediate family stayed behind to take pictures. Then the bus came back to bring the rest of us. So maybe the boat could do that for you? And couldn't you always walk to the Attic, if the boat wouldn't make two trips? Although I guess you probably want to ride the boat... :goodvibes

Definitely go to Epcot early if you can, it's like getting a park photo shoot for free and you can use your choice of photographer!

I am going to try to leave immediately upon our return from the MK shoot with Disney and maybe get there by 7:45am!! If I get the friendship boat, I don't think we could stand not riding it with all our guests :goodvibes

Rick and I decided that we really want to enjoy our night away from everyone at the Poly, so we aren't going to try for the Dessert party. This way, we can eat a late appetizer at Kona Cafe and find a romantic spot on the beach to watch Wishes together :lovestruc :cloud9:

I'm still looking for cool ways to spend my minimum :teacher:
