Guest dies in the Haunted Mansion

Expect a lengthy closure... one of our foolish mortals has passed away after riding Haunted Mansion: Holiday here in Disneyland. Condolences to the family members and immediate friends of this poor guest.

Lengthy closure? The ride has a wait time listed right now. The woman's death is sad but is reportedly from a heart attack and is likely unrelated to the ride experience.

Unfortunately medical episodes happen at the Parks all the time. Sad nevertheless.

Unlike a death on a roller coaster or similar ride, baring a mechanical malfunction there is nothing on the attraction that would cause the death of a guest. Especially in Holiday mode which is much less "frightening" than the traditional version.

Not to belittle their death or the grief of their friends and family, but sounds like the way I would like to go. Beats falling down the stairs, which is what I think will happen to me.
I always though I would die from the car I am driving going off a cliff.

Is it really though? Can you think of a better way to check out? No suffering. No wasting away in A nursing home. No struggling in severe pain. Sounds perfect to me.
But do we really know there was no pain or suffering? The perfect way to go is asleep in bed.

I agree, it does sound like a good way to go.

But I feel for her family. I don’t know the details, but 60’s sounds pretty young.
I wonder if she was there with her family on a vacation. That would be pretty sad for all of them.

Yeah 60s is a bit on the earlier side. Not sure what shape she was in or how the family viewed her. They might be sad or relieved. None of us here know.
