What have you used for guests to sign?

We need something for just 20 people at the ceremony, and I want to use something different at the home reception which is going to be somewhere between 70-100.

Where did you get it? and how much? (LOL)

I am planning on getting a bunch of Disney postcards and having people fill out those. I am going to make up address labels and have someone mail them all back to us. Hopefully I will find some type of book or album to put them in later.

I am not sure for your home reception with more people... What about one of those serving platters?

We made a photo guest book using our engagement pictures and Blurb.com. We got the largest size book they make (13x11), so it was about $55, but the 8x10 books start at $20.

For our Disney wedding we used a smaller photo mat and had everyone sign it.

Then we put in a group shot of everyone that came and framed it.

We did the same for our home reception but with a bigger mat since we had over 100 people and instead of a group shot we just put in a disney wedding picture.

We ended up having two. The one I had planned was from the guestbook store. (www.guestbookstore.com). Basically there were individual pages for people to fill out with all of those colorful markers. There were places to draw pictures, leave advice, etc. The actually book all of the pages went into I kept safe at home and filled the book after the wedding. It was a big hit and we got some great responses. I had little signs with instructions on what to do with the pages and where to place them when you were done.

Sorry these aren't the greatest photos, I took both of these quick as we were setting up the day before.

Here is the guestbookstore pages set up.

And now the second one was a surprise to me. My maid of honor drew us this fantastic caricature. The picture itself was under glass, but the mat was on top of the glass so people could sign it.

Either way, I always like when couples do something unique for the guestbook! Ohh, and you asked about price. The caricature was free to me because it was a gift, but you could easily do something like this with a photo and a frame/mat from the craft store for not so much. The Guestbook Store was a little more expensive because I went with some of the custom options they had and had 100 pages. But if you kept it simple and only needed 20 pages, it would be under $30.

Wow, Larisa, I love that! Thank you for posting the link, it looks like so much fun for the guests!

We're getting a guestbook with our E-pics as part of our Roots package, but I wasn't really sure I wanted people writing on top of our pictures. This looks awesome! Love the part where they have to draw themselves and the bride and groom!

We are doing something different for our wedding.

My best friend from high shcool and her mom are both very into quilting. They found an article in a quilting magazine for a "love notes" quilt, and i thought it was fabulous.
here is link, but you need to sign up to read the article;

Essentially, guests will use fabric pens to sign/write notes on strips of fabric at the reception. Then my friend and her mom are going to take those and incorporate them into a quilt/wall hanging for us (with other fabric that uses our theme/wedding colors).

No problem! We had so much fun reading through these after the wedding. Especially the ones where our guests must have gone to the bar first, then filled out their page, haha.

I really love the quilt idea, what a unique keepsake!

We've had some over-sized postcards printed with a message on the back asking guests to write us a message to help us preserve the memory of our day.

I got them from vistaprint and they were free apart from the postage.

We only have 7 people in total and the minimum order was 50! We are going to take them into the parks and get the characters to sign them for us, and take them just about everywhere!

Anyone want one to sign for us?! We've definitely got a few spare lol!!

I love the idea of each guest doing their own page! I think that could even go into the welcome gifts to give them something to do in the hotels :)
