Guesses for 2014 Marathon Weekend dates?

I am planning a trip to WDW for Jan 2014 (my DD's 18th birthday) does anyone have any idea as to which weekend will be Marathon weekend? I'm thinking the second full weekend in Jan (10/11/12th). The next weekend runs into the 20th (MLK) Any thoughts? I just think the first weekend 3/4/5 is too close to New Year.

I think it would have to be the 10-12th. Unless they make a major strategy shift. It could happen though. The first DL half was in late September (a much better time if you ask me).

I sent an email to them a couple of months ago and they replied saying it wouldn't be confirmed until 9 months before however it is tentatively set down for the 9th-12th january

Nine months before! I was hoping to book with my DVC points at OKW 11 months before.

i was curious too.. i was planning a fall trip but now my sister, 2 nieces and a friend are planning to do the marathon next year they are only going to go for the run....i would go for 2 weeks but would like to be there when they run.... i dont run but would stand on the side and cheer when they finish..... but i dont know what to do in case they cancel out.....dont want to give up my fall trip and then they cancel out....dont think i could afford 2 trips so close together (was planning sept...then have christmas ...and then a trip in Jan ) would be cool but rhe cost decisions decisions decisions

i thought i read somewhere that it was confirmed for the weekend listed above.. 10th-12th..

i'm still going to reserve dvc at the 11 months going with those dates.
