Ok we came back on saturday and on monday booked a return trip another 2 weeks at RPR 8th january 2005 - 22nd jan
:bounce: :bounce: those APs have a lot to answer for even DW was easy to convince we should go back we got a good deal as well at first £3,500 travel agent wanted I said no thanks on line for £2,500 so after 10 minutes £2379 plus free insurance made me think how much had i paid too much last time still its a good deal as we have our passes and we cam back with a third of our spending budget as well so roll on new year:bounce: :bounce:

Good for you! Us too. We're heading back in October. Wish we could stay for 2 weeks like you!

Highlander....where do you go on-line to book? Do you book your flights with Virgin on-line then phone up the RPR and book direct?

Selina we got the price of Lunn Polly online but it was Thomas Cook who beat the price in the shop its worth pushing them I mean they reduced their price by £1200 and gave us free travel insurance to get our business:jester:

Congrats! I was wondering when the next trip would be! :D

Isn't it a great feeling knowing you are going back? We just went last week and have trips planned for May and July already! We only stay 3-5 days at a time, but of course we are much closer than you are and can get our Universal fixes more often.

Thanks Spidey FOTL is addictive as are the AP's it didn't even take me long to convince wife as she really enjoyed the onsite benefits being so close to parks as well meant we could do it at such a relaxed pace aslo a big thank you to this board the tips and advice picked up really helped i am member of a few boards but by far this is the best for real info regarding universal

Themepark u are so lucky to stay near for us 1 trip a year is great but this year at least we can say Universal in Spain for halloween Universal Mardi-Gras and in January Universal again
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Sounds like you have some great trips planned!

Thanks Themepark unfortunately after our january trip next year we are imtending to sell cuurent house and move so funds wil be needed elsewhere still live for the moment

Thanks highlander, will bear that in mind. We'd prefer to stay on-site, but may consider an off-site one to get over there quicker!! We have booked into the El Paso Universal Spain for a few days May half term holiday week. A bit concerned with all the recent bombs in Spain. How security conscious is the place do you think?

Selina Spain has always had a problem with terrorists as has France & UK so I would say they are pretty concious of security but really in todays climate we all take a chance when we use any form of public transport, malls etc just remember if u see something suspicious report it if we all do that with out fear of looking stupid it will be a safer place enjoy your trip we will be in salou at October term but are staying in apartments don't miss the beach its great :jester:

Thanks highlander. My thinking too. Looking forward to Salou - any recommendations for places to eat during the daytime?

Where in Spain is Universal? My sister in law will be moving there from London in August and sounds like it would be a good idea for us to take the trip. How does Universal Spain compare to Universal Orlando?

Selina no place stands out there are a lot of nice onsite restaurants but u are only about 5 min from centre of Salou and u will be spoiled for choice
IMGONNABE40! Universals park is in Salou which is about 1 hour from Baracelona its totally diffrent from Orlando its more comparable with Disney meets Buusch Gardens the theming is great and there are a lot of shows plus attractions what I found was that its very European not all like Universal standing alone we found it a good park with great themimg etc comparing it Orlando it just didn't have the magic, but its worth a visit because its so diffrent:jester:

Glad to hear you had a great trip !! I just bought an AP and have return trips planned for Dec at RPR (taking 7 yo nephew for his first USF trip) and again in Jan at HRH for DS's 16th birthday - we'll just miss you - our trip will be the very end of Jan.!!:smooth:

DS and I will also be travelling overseas this summer - to visit DH while he is working near London - I just refuse to let the terrorists stop me from travelling - the people we meet are so wonderful ! :smooth:
