Guess who was awarded a CTT, or as its now called ....

The yes Leslie those are nice award... Not me brother you all ask her to explain.

So guess what happened today… there we were the bunch-o-us enjoying one of Scoops pin seminars, and frankly I don't know why, but after 12 of those seminars you would think I've had enough, but ever single time he makes them even more interesting then the last.

So at the end he grabs Leslie to use as Vana White pin model girl to do his rendition of what is a good way to pin trade, its going very well for those of you know it and have seen it you know how Scoop has a way of showing you how not to pin trade, amongst my favorites are.

· The grab your lanyard and pull (Leslie was a trooper, but gave up no ground, her lanyard stayed put.)
· She used a few techniques some I have never seen before, but came darn close to pin-foo

The best part came when Scoop pulled out a CTT, right away Peggie who was 3 feet away thought OMG Leslies getting a CTT and pulled out her massive array of camera equipment, got her staff ready to capture her friends exciting moment on film in 3 dimensions, and in every kind of light.

Well kids you could of heard a flash bulb pop, as he turned and awarded the CTT to our Ms Peggie, you want to talk about a deer in the headlights look. 30 seconds later he awarded one to Leslie, but alas the cameraperson was in the corner getting oxygen so alas the record in time was lost forever.

Third on the list to get a CTT was my lovely daughter Lauree who first turned white as a ghost, and passed out, but not before grabbing on to the pin for dear life.

A little boy whose name I did not catch was also awarded a CTT, and was hoping around the floor like he had ants in his pant.

This little pin holds some magical power or what.

Anyway congratulations everybody, and well deserved.

Omigosh - Poppy, thank you!! You didn't have to make a post about me - I was just honored to have gotten it. I wasn't going to make anything of it. But THANK YOU - everyone for the lovely words.

And, yes, you could've knocked me over with a feather - it was the last thing I expected. Here I was standing there applauding for Peggy & Leslie and being really happy for them, when Scoop turned around and handed one to me. What a guy!! THANKS, SCOOP!!

I always wanted one (don't we all?), but now I feel such a responsibility to live up to it. Hope I'm up to the challenge!!

Congratulations to Peggy & Leslie - it was so great to see them get their pins!!!

Peggi called me late last night to give me the good news.. to say that they were thrilled is an understatement........ they were both overwhelmed!!! I am so happy for you all - your CT contigent, and Dom and your neighbor to the north - me - are all so fortunate to have a CTT now. Need to wear them on Saturday so we can proudly look at each others.

and yes, they were all completely shocked..especially Peggy, she was there when she
saw Scoop take the pin our of his pocket, and say it was for someone very special, who had
done so much to continue the tradition, and she was ready to take Leslies Pic, and he handed it
to her...sooooo funny, the look on her face..

But they all looked like a deer in the headlights. so much fun to see it in person..

I was one of the lucky ones to be present at Scoops talk on Sunday and got to witness everything.

It was so nice to see everyone and see so many deserving people receive such a wonderful honor.

I even got to enjoy the celebration lunch with everyone.

I look forward to many more days as pleasant as Sunday was.

Like Ed says, you go to Scoops talks over and over again and each time you learn something new and exciting, but the best part is that you will always meet some wonderful people there.
I am getting the feeling that we will soon be making pins at the Scoop talks.

It was the best day!!

Looking back on it, I should have known something was up. Peggie (who apparently was in cahoots with Scoop) was fixated on getting to Scoop's talk on time. We met her sister and BIL at MK and she told them "we can do whatever you want, but we have to be at Scoop's talk at 1 pm" Then we were watching the show in front of the castle....Peter Pan had just dropped Hook down the trap door when Peggie says "we have to go!" Well, it was the first time I had actually seen this show and I wanted to see the finale!!! She said ok, but she was antsy to get going....

So we get there and as Ed said, I am chosen to be Vanna Pinlady and almost get my neck broken by the evil pintrader (part played by Scoop). Then he starts waving the CTT around at which point I am getting whiplash from following it around. Just when I think he is going to hand it to me, he surprises us all and hands it to Peggie! LOL!!! It was so funny!!! Then he awarded one to me and Lauree!!

As to the the "gee, those are nice" comment, I will allow you to use your imagination, but suffice it to say I was so embarassed I turned several shades of purple! As my son and husband say to me all the time ..."you don't really think they are looking at your pins, do you?"

Peggie and I were so tickled to be awarded the Continuing the Tradition pin. We spent the rest of our visit showing it off to anyone who would look. Thank-you Scoop, I will wear it with pride and humility as well....

Just like I had hoped, my 1000th post is about something really special.

Leslie said it all in her post, but has that ever stopped me before? this is my chance to brag.

Thank you all for the well wishes, I love my pin. I have it right here in front of me.

I did know that Leslie was going to get one. I wrote Scoop and asked him to not give her one during the Princess ball because I wanted to see her awarded it when we went together to the parks.
We were at the Contemporary and Scoop said to her "Leslie, you don't have the CTT yet do you?" I gave him the eye "I don't have my camera with me, NO, NO" I wanted to capture the moment on film to be used against her when necessary.
So Sunday morning we were supposed to meet my sister and BIL at 9 am. Of course we overslept and couldn't make it that early. I wanted to be at the Emporium at 10 and wait around just in case 500 people came in after us. I wanted to be in the front.
We got to the park at 10 and they wanted to go on rides, I think they were just trying to make me crazy. Then Leslie wanted to see the show in front of the castle. "It's time to go Leslie" No, she wanted to see the end. Luckily Scoop was running late so we got there in plenty of time.
Scoop wanted to show how NOT to trade. Ed kept telling Scoop to pick Lauree but he had his eye on Leslie. He called Leslie up to the front and asked her to show what she does when she wants to trade with someone.
Leslie did well, but then made the suggestion to Scoop to look at her lanyard. He grabbed her lanyard and dragged her around the room, but she held on, not one pin came off that lanyard. I have that photo, but still can't figure out how to post it on the boards.
Well then Scoop pulled out a CTT. He talked about the pin and the meaning behind it, all the while moving it around the room. Leslie is presently suffering from whiplash of the eyes, she never took her eyes off that pin.
I got my camera out, "just give her the pin so I can stop looking at the world through this little viewfinder" Well he makes his little speech and then "today I would like to award this pin to.......Peggie" what, who.. did he say my name? I took the camera away from my face to see the pin right in front of me.
Then he awarded one to Leslie. Of course I dropped my camera so the moment was lost in time forever. Lauree, sorry, I didn't get you either, but I think I remember being able to focus by then.
A deer in the headlights was exactly how I felt, this was very unexpected.
Thank you so much Scoop. Even though we both got sick the next day and flew home with ear pain and sore throats this trip was one of the best.

I'm so sorry to hear you guys got sick!! But it was worth seeing you get your CTTs!! And, yeah, Leslie, you were purple!! I was surprised, too! It was so nice to finally meet you guys and have lunch - we all had such a great time! I wish we could've spent more time together. I'm still in shock over it - me, a CTT! Who'd a thunk it?

And thanks Janice, I'll wear it Friday!! Lucky me!! My hubby is eyeing it because it a Mickey and and "Us" pin. I'm sleeping with it under my pillow!!!
