I have manage to friend a couple of the top firework people and it really helps to play with someone who 1) is going to kick your butt no matter what you do 2) doesnt stop at 240.

Since I have stopped stopping my scores, overall have improved. (well duh of course the scores are higher if you dont stop... lol)

Competition is a big driving force....

I managed it ONCE, but I'm getting near 260,000 in a lot of games, so I'm sure I can get back there.

I know what you mean about competition -- we should get together and play sometime!!

You know what drives me crazy... I play with some people who are on track to get 270 plus.... and then they stop at 240,001 and sit there and watch at least 1 if not 2 whole sets go by to get there 1000 plus points.

Thankfully I no longer mind coming in first since it keeps spewing out fireworks magic at me... I average 1 a day these days....

I had been stuck at 220-230 range and I was using a wireless mouse and NO mouse pad. I went and bought a wired optical mouse (20 bucks or less I think) AND a mouse pad, and my scores have gone up.

I have managed to get over 270,000 about 3 times now, and am shocked everytime! I really have to be in the "zone" and that doesn't seem to happen too often.

I still can't ever imagine 280,000.

I'm in the same boat as you and the Demon Llama. I've only hit the 270k
mark once, and I'm generally in the 250k range (and often over 260k)
when I'm in the "zone".

I'm really out of practice lately, as I really don't play the mini-games
as much as I used to. I may just have to play more fireworks, because
I'm falling behind in my Fireworks Fairy duties. I need to start earning
more pins.

I have not yet been able to break that mark, that is my current goal. I always seem to fall short and get 269,000. But I will keep trying.
