Guess What?

OK, sitting in the Fisherman's Wharf waiting for our taxi and so sad to be leaving........but guess who we met last night? So excited I had to come on here and tell you all before I get back! A real imagineer called Bob Hal and his wife Nancy. He has been involved in loads of projects, the original Star Tours and rides in WDW that I don't know, they were speaking about birds in some Tiki sequence but I had no idea

Anyway, they were soooooo lovely, and the perfect end to our last night, which was a fantastic meal in the Blue Lagoon.

The Tikki Tikki Hut in WDW! We were meant to have one - its now a restaurant but the birds, tree and theming is all there in the roof

Yes, that's what they were talking about I think! And now that I have looked at his card his name is actually Hal Miles......I think Bob must be some endearing term his wife calls him.

We were being escorted to the gates [park had shut and we were still eating in the Blue lagoon] and we stopped as it was our last night for a photo under the big 20, and asked this guy to take it....it was Hal. He and nancy just starting chatting away and were just so cute. They were saying how they really want to come and visit Shetland and then they told us how they both worked for Disney .....I couldn't belive it when he said he was an imagineer. So awe struck though I forgot to ask him if the room ever turns or goes up side down in Star tours

They gave us their contact details and I think we are all going to try and persuade them to come and visit

Not long till you go Sarah, infact you're maybe already there......have a great time, and BTW Blue Lagoon was exceptional on Sunday, I think the food has really improved.

Thats amazing. Would love to meet an imagineer. Blue Lagoon is on our list ... haven't been back there in a few years so really looking forward to it. Still in Wales ... flying to Paris tomorrow afternoon.

Safe travels Sarah, the Blue Lagoon is wonderful just now, must be a new chef or something [not that it was ever bad] as the food is brilliant. Hope you have a fantastic trip.....Billy Bob's is quite good fun just now too! Never been in there before as I usually go with kids so that was first, really enjoyed two very different nights in there, one watching square dancing and one for Amy Winehouse.

I have very conservative tastes when it comes to food Kaye, so frogs legs would not be on my wish list ... I eat chicken and fish and that's about it. and even the fish has to be a fish fillet. Really looking forward to the Blue Lagoon after yours and others comments about it. I always enjoy Billy Bobs ... haven't seen any entertainment in there before, but we have been to the buffet there a few times.
