Guess what I had on my machine when I checked my messages!!Calling all Poly experts

I got a message from Tara at the Poly asking for me to call if I wanted anything noted on my ressies, any ps's made or any other services they could help me with!!!! Yeah it finally feels real - also makes the wedding finally feel more real!

Anyway - I have read the messages that people have had problems with Tara so I want to know when I call who should I ask to speak to - who made YOUR experience special - we have a lot of questions and ps's since it is our honeymoon!

I have been using Tara for most all of my PS's. She sent me a confirmation letter with confirmation numbers, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

I am like you lillykat! Our trip is almost 90 days and I talked to Tara too. She noted all of my PS's and now I am afraid of giving up *control* over them! I have contacted her a few (underestimate!) times and she has been really sweet to answer promptly. I am going to check with her right after the ps should be made and make sure that its been done, again I have a control issue. lol

I hope things go well for Christine and hope you will let us know!!

Very cool to get the call isn't it? Had one myself today from Poynesian planning but it was Marilyn this time.

I really prefer to make my own PSs but on at least one occasion that I recall, Tara made a couple 60 day PSs for me when I wasn't going to have easy access to a phone...northern woods of WI at a wonderful resort! Anyway, she did fine.

I do think some people have unrealistic expectations of concierge at WDW. Now I'm not speaking of anyone in particular here on the DIS but concierge at WDW is not like the concierge you'll find in a large city hotel. I guess they probably have some easier access to PSs but I'm sure it's not unlimited. All those concierge rooms at the deluxe resorts would fill CRT breakfast many times over I would think. On our last trip I overheard a lady at the next desk express her disappointment that concierge had not been able to get several PSs for her party of 17 people including CRT or the princess breakfast...don't remember exactly! Now she wasn't ranting or anything although I could hear her VERY clearly.

I bet Tara will do a great job for you.

Kimmie, if you have a control issue have you considered making the PSs yourself? I really do prefer it so that if I want California Grill at 6:00pm, let's say, but the only openings are 5:30 or 7:10, I can pick the one that fits our plans best. I guess I have a control issue too!

I know what you mean! She called and asked if she could make them and I said *sure!* I was thinking it would be just fine, but as time goes on I keep rethinking it. Maybe I should be making my own. The BIG one I want her to make is the Illuminations cruise. I just don't have it in me to start dialing at 5:58 a.m. if you know what I mean. I have some others that I think I will be making on my own, just because we have changed some of our plans. I am keeping my fingers crossed that all will go well.

I need to get my calander out and get going!!

Sometimes the best part of the trip is the planning!! LOL

You never know when and if there is going to be a problem nothing is perfect 100% of the time. If something is truely important to me I handle it myself
