I've been going through my IL's boxes & boxes of photos for the past 2 weeks trying to come up with things for some sort of display/collage/PowerPoint show/scrapbook. I've become desperate to finish scanning all of these things because they're due home any day. In fact I had quite a scare around noon - I thought they'd stopped here on their way home from FL! :earseek: Thank goodness it was just a truck that looked like theirs!

Anyway, in addition to some old Epcot postcards with "Communicore" on them, I have a stack of pix from Epcot in the winter of 1984! I'm going to ummmm borrow those pix & not return them until after the anniversary party. I want to scan them & share them with all of you, but don't have time to do everything right now.

Here's one to whet your appetite!

Very, very cool!

I love going throught the old folks "boxes of fotos"! They are treasure trove long forgotten!

Deb you'll appreciate this, when my DMIL passed away last year, I found an 8th b-day picture of DH. It was entirely a "Mickey Mouse" themed party & cake. I turned to him and told him, see... you and I were destined to be together! As I am and always have been a Disney Freak! My relatives say my
"ears" were clipped at birth.

I am in the process of jotting information on everypicture... it's like reading family history!

I wish mh ILs had written on their pix! I've been researching family trees for the past 5 yrs or so & have asked them questions in every way I can think of! I usually get "I don't know" to most questions. Going through the pix has been a much better way of prompting their memory. Sadly, though, there are many many pix that they no longer remember the name of the relative in them!

I've been working with my parents on the same thing - but they've been doing it off & on for the past 20 yrs so I can often fill in the blanks on some pix by the info on others. The IL's pix have writing on less than 0.5% - yes, less than half a percent!

So keep at it - you children will thank you some day! :teeth:

oooohhh How KEWL
lucky you!

I swear noone in my or dh's families knew what a camera was until I came along :confused3
