Give up?

A Plumeria root from Epcot! :sunny:

Darn, how did you know my first three guesses would be wrong? :p

You're going to want to talk to Marlasmom and Dandave, Tulirose! :)

I brought back a package of miniature sunflower seeds from the Land building once. They did great!

Good luck to you with your plumeria. :)

Had me guessing.
I thought you were going to say the sun but it's been raining for days now.

Oh how exciting!!!! :Pinkbounc

Where did you find them for sale? Does it come with instuctions?

I never brought back anything alive from Epcot. I thought about pinching a few marigold seeds once but got scared the MM police would pinch me and I'd be deported to AK:crazy:

You'll have to post some pics...:D

Cool

those are so pretty and easy to grow...I had a couple once but they got too big and I gave them to a friend in another town that had a greenhouse.

Very cool! I've seen the plumeria cuttings at Epcot, but I haven't tried any yet. I know Marlasmom does grow it, though.
If you have good luck with it, maybe I'll get a cutting when I'm there next month and give it a try. Keep us updated, please. :D

Do not buy plumeria cuttings at Epcot. They are small and not fresh and I have had very poor luck with them. Out of 5, only 2 survived. Try Florida Colors (they have a website - you can get rooted ones) or plumeriaguy on e-bay has wonderful, ROOTED plants very reasonable - and with them you will know what variety you are getting. I did buy one at Home Depot - they only had 2 and I haven't seen any since, but it is doing wonderfully. Willl bloom soon.

They did come with instructions. My SIL was interested in them first and since they were one for whatever amount of money it was or four for a few cents cheaper, we decided to share the cost and split them. I got one, BIL got one and SIL got two. Now I know my BIL potted his at least a week earlier than me and I have been to his house to take care of his kitties while he was away this past week and his is sprouting something. I keep forgetting to ask SIL if she potted the ones she took home and how they are doing.

Mine right now is still a stick. I potted it exactly one week ago and have it by a window but the sun has not made much of an appearance this week. I do have a heating pad wrapped around it that I put on for a few hours each evening because it says that it needs light and heat to root. A week from today I can start misting it.

I'll keep ya posted.

They do have a website too in case anyone is interested: www.justplumerias.com (The rooting instructions on the website are exactly the same ones they give you to take home). The guy encouraged us to write them with any questions that we have but I haven't done that yet.

Snowwark, miniture sunflower seeds-never heard of them. Do you have a picture of the flowers?
Is there anywhere in Disneyland that sells seeds? I want to bring back some plant/flower memories from my trip.
