Tonight the Olymics are on at 8pm. My grandaughter Renee who is 7 Ice skates. Well her coaches at at the olympics.
They skated the short program but Natalae had broken foot in two places but they still competed in the short program

They will be skating tonight and from what I heard will be interviewed. So for anyone watching they are suppose to mentiion Renee's name,
Oh Renee took 1st in the world competion and now is starting to pair skate. Only thing wrong with her pair skating she will not stop talking.
The man is suppose to be the boss and do all the prompting but you can not tell Renee this.

I am so proud of her coaches and Renee. Hope someone get to see it.
They are Russian but are skating under the country of Uapakistan. I probably spelt this wrong but that is the way it is said.
It is so exciting to know someone who has actually competed on the Olympics. shirley38

Shirley, how exciting for you all ! We just watched the young lady, with the broken foot, skate. Amazing! Anyway hope Renee continues to do well - you all must be so proud :). How is Renee's baby sister? And you? And John?

:bounce: :bounce:

Thanks for posting Judith M. You could really tell she was in pain. I just hope they show their interveiw.
Renne is competing in Keystone Ice Skating Competition this weekend. Eurgenti and Natlae are coming back to go with her and two other children.
Eurgenti calls Renee his Prodigy.

We sure were cheering them on here..just watched them finish the long program, and I
don't know how she did it...

If she uses the same resolve in training her students, Renee is very lucky..

they said they were leaving to go home to attend their students meet, then coming back to
the olympics..

They should get a special medal for just trying...so should the pair where he just had a hip
stress fracture...I just can't imagine..

Just getting to the Olympics to participate is a major achievement. Congratulations!
Renee is in good hands. Hope she has fun.
In 10 yrs we will hear Miss Renee's name announced and we will say we remember when!

Good to hear from you, Shirley. Congratulations to your grandaughter for choosing coaches so wisely. My best to John.........

Hi guys thanks to everyone who posted I really mean that It has not been too pleasant around my house lately.
John stopped smoking about 6 weeks ago. So far so good. Man I wish there were pills for the other people in the house.

I j ust found out today that Channel 10 is going to do a cover story on Renee's coachs. They were up in Bethlehem today.
Also want to do an interview with Renee. She wants no part of it.

Anyway sometime somewhere maybe you will see her. I will be in Bethlehem tommorow and I think that is when they are going to try to do it.
Or maybe at her competition this weekend.
I AM SO EXCITED.

That's great, Shirley -- how exciting for you. I did see them skating their short program and was just so amazed that she was able to do so well with a broken foot! What a gutsy lady. You're very lucky to know them and have them as Renee's coaches. Can't wait till Renee makes it to the Olympics -- then we'll really have something to get excited about at the DIS!!!

How exciting for your grand daughter!! Looking forward to hearing more updates.

I was really impressed watching those two skate. By the end of the long program you could tell she was hurting. I agree that they deserve something just for making it and making the effort. Congrats to you and your granddaughter Renee on such great role models.

Ashley

Yesterday went to Bethlehem and saw Natale and Eurganti. They were beaming. Saw Renee go through her program for this saturday.
When they returned home a lot of us went to the Airport to meet them. Channel 10 was there.
They brought something back for everyone of the kids. Renee got a vest that has the Olympic Logo on it.
Thanks to everyone who has replied to this post. I am letting Renee read them. shirley38

Shirley, and John,
congratulations to your daughter. I will make sure to watch the olympics in 8 years when your grandaughter is there.
I watched her coach during the short program, and I did try and watch the long program, but every time she landed I winced for her. I can't begin to imagine the pain she must have had, or what her poor foot looks like now after the added trauma.
She was very brave to perform in the condition she was in, but as they said, it was an honor to be chosen and she didn't want to miss her opportunity. Peggie

Shirley, Congratulations to you, your daughter and granddaughter. What a great experience for all of you! I can't wait to see Renee at the Olympics!!!!!! She has absolutely great teachers and they sound like wonderful people as well. I didn't see their short program but I did watch the long program - and I agree that it was painful to watch. My heart went out to her for her Olympic spirit and great talent! What a gift they both have. And to think that your granddaughter is so gifted as well is just wonderful!

Congratulations!!!:pinkbounc :pinkbounc :pinkbounc :pinkbounc :pinkbounc :pinkbounc
