Guess what DD6 asked Santa for

Snow!!!!!

The good: We live in Vermont. So there is a possibility there will be snow.

The bad: We live in Vermont. So there is a possibility there will not be snow.

We had a dusting the other morning, and I was tempted to collect some and put it in our freezer. DH was horrified. Santa brings toys and gifts, not weather conditions. Yeah yeah yeah, but to see her face when she sees the snow on Christmas morning. She is already having some doubts, so this would just further her belief a little bit longer.

Anyone know of a snow dance? Maybe is all DIS'ers do a snow dance on Christmas Eve, directed toward New England, we will get some.

Cute ideas! She has already told me how Santa could do this. Since the North Pole always has lots of snow, he can just pile enough snor on the reindeers' backs to cover our yard.

One year when DD was young and wanted snow for Christmas. Since we didn't have snow and snow was not being forcasted for christmas DH decided to go to the local Ice skating rink to get snow after the zambonie cleaned the ice and emptied his machine.
He filled his pickup and emptied it 3 times onto our front lawn. Needless to
say we got some pretty strange looks going down the street. All the neighborhood kids came to our house Christmas day. The bad thing was it turned hard and we had to make sure no one through snowballs at each other for fear someone would get hurt.

He also has learned to not make promises that
he has no control over. Especially living on
Cape Cod where our chance of snow is like
10% before christmas.

DD7 asked for a baby reindeer. I asked what she would do with it when it grew up, and she said (as if to say "DUH!"), "Mom! I would sell it back to Santa!"

Avery asked me today if winter was over because it was sunny, 45, and not a flake on the ground!

My parents are coming for Christmas and my Dad wants to get snowed in! That could be kind of fun.

I would love to experience a white Christmas. But living in Florida, not going to happen. So if you do a cold weather dance for me, I will do a snow dance for you. It is not expected to be cold on Christmas down here.

Wow! I had no idea there were so many of us Vermonters on the DIS.

It was 51 here today! Can you believe it? Has anyone seen the long-range forecast? Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

The tooth fairy came to our house last night. Emily swore she saw her. She has pink wings and a yellow face. Funny, I have never seen DH with pink wings.

It snows on Christmas Eve, and the hotel is saved. Bing Crosby winds up with Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye gets Vera-Ellen, DW gets all teary, and I get...I get to put the movie away and not have to watch it for another year.
