guess my request for a 'fill the ice-cube tray' fairy was denied

just came home from a long walk and wanted a nice tall glass of cold water. Go to the freezer and pull out the first tray - empty, second tray - empty, third and final tray - 1 ice cube that looks like it's been there a little too long.

i think i'm going to buy a little mini freezer and hid it in the closet just for my ice-cubes. Let's see how long it takes before someone else starts filling them!

Precisely the reason why I instituted the Sumer Ice Rules here. No taking cubes out of the tray. Trays must be emptied into the bin. And then I come back to my senses and hide a ziploc of cubes in the far corner of the freezer just for me!!!

It happens at our house also. No matter how many times you tell people here to fill it up, it doesn't work.

Could be worse. You could have someone (like a dh) who puts the just filled trays on top of the frozen ones. Then his dw comes along, pulls the top tray out of the freezer and splash!

That happened to me, but it was one of my girls that did it instead. It didn't make the laughing any quieter though.
