It's been estimated that you can get in about 50 games of Jungle Cruise finished in an hour if you "Ned". Of course, at 20 credits a game, that's 1,000 credits an hour.

Well, I was doing some mental math yesterday and I realized something interesting. In that same hour, you can play a music mix song 50 times in an empty room (actually, it's probably more than that, especially if it's a 1-note song, but for the sake of argument, we'll say 50). For your 50th play, you get a bonus of 375 credits, so for an hour of playing mixes, you earn 375 credits plus 75-100 credits from the regular 25 credit payouts every 15 minutes. In one hour of Nedding, you have 1,000 credits and in one hour of Music Mix, you have about 450 credits.

Okay, no big deal. But here's where it gets interesting. Repeat that process for another hour. For your 100th play, you get a 2,000 credit bonus and, again, 75-100 credits from the regular bonuses. So in 2 hours, we have a 2,000 credit payout from Nedding, but about a 2,550 credit payout from the music mix. PLUS, the music mix is simpler. Rather than taking the time to control a boat, all you have to do is click a "queue" space and then choose a song. Why Ned when you can make over 500 more credits every 2 hours from playing mixes?

I think you can only do a music mix every hour - they say, come back in an hour and play again....

Well, they mean for credits, but actually, it's not every hour, it's every 15 minutes. However, every time you play a song, whether or not you get credits for it, it still counts toward the 50 and 100 play bonuses, which are huge.

I like to go "Nedding" because I can easily wander off and do other things in the few minutes it takes to ride, and I know that if I finish the game, I'll only be waiting in the JC Lobby, as opposed to the constant crash-causing lobby of the Music Game. I cannot simply stand in the Music Game room because I will crash so I have to pay close attention to when my character is done. So while yes, I love your conclusion about the higher credits and will definitely keep it in mind, I like the option of reading other websites (cough like DIS) without having to worry about coming back to find that dreaded little white box on my screen :)

I thought about the crash issue, as well, but I read a post a while back where someone mentioned that if you go into an empty room (which you should, anyway, while you're doing this because you can get more songs played per hour) AND you uncheck the "music" and "sound effects" boxes, you shouldn't crash in the music game lobby. I've tried that and it's worked for me so far. I used to have the white box crash in there all the time, but I was in the room for over 2 hours straight today and never crashed.

If you still prefer to Ned, it's no big deal. I just thought I'd make a suggestion.

Wonderful!

And you make a mix that is one beat long and BOOM. There you go...

I actually do all the things in the last two posts. Empty lobby, I NEVER have the sound on, and all my songs are a simple red circle. I still manage to crash at least a quarter of the time. I think VMK hates me lol

So in 2 hours you can make 2,550 credits.

Or... you could make more than that playing pirates and actually have some fun at the same time. Idk, the mind-numbing effect of music playing or nedding has to factor in somewhere.

2550/2= number of killed brain cells x level of boredom / hour

Just my 2 cents...

And that's the win! Sorry folks, but Dreams has got a very valid point.

Unless you've had massive lag like me the past month for no apparent reason and by the time your boat is able to move in Pirates, you've been killed and your team is furious and the other team is laughing at you -_- I miss my pirates :( That's how I used to earn all my credits. Mansion and Fireworks have always been out of the question for my poor "lag" top. So in the mean time, guess it's back to Nedding and playing music for moi :) Thanks for suggestions though!

heh, it takes a sick person to come up with a mad method for credits like this mint. Thats why I like you LOL.

I go "nedding" while reading too. By your theory I would earn more credits mixing my music, but I only "ned" because I don't want to have to do anything with my character at that time. Mansion is the best game for credits :thumbsup2

I had understood the 50/100 play bonuses given by spinning music were one time deals... You mean to say you get the bonues every 50 plays?

Hmmm... I know I've played been in VMK for about 16 months. At the rate I play, I should be getting the 100 rep/2k bonus about every 2-3 months. I'm sure I have not seen it 6-8 times... I'd've noticed that.

If you get 1,000 credits an hour, each day you can get 15,000 credits from opening until closing. Times 365= 5,475,000

sweet deal!!!!!! I think im gonna have to get my little DJ headphones out and my safari hat out so i can get me some credits!!!!

I still ned when I'm busy doing other things. I can't actually do anything active with my character at certain times. And setting my character off, going and doing other things, such as reading forums or doing housework, and coming back to 20 credits is better than nothing.

I have been spending credits like crazy lately and I still don't have everything that I need. I've been putting off buying some of the Alice things because I'm sure they'll be there a while.

I'll probably start selling things for credits soon to at least make up for the 4th quest machine that I just bought for storage. Especially a few of those tiki fountains that I got this past weekend. ;)

But, nedding is still the way to go if you need to do other things at the same time as earning credits.

Well, yeah, I still prefer other minigames, myself. I'm just saying for those of us who do choose to Ned for one reason or another.

You know, honestly, I don't know. I haven't played a song 150 times yet, but it takes only a second to create a new one note song.

They are one time bonuses. Futhermore, it doesn't matter what mix you play. It is a cumulative total for all. You don't get another bonus for each new mix you play 50/100 times. So it's a one-shot deal all around.
