Guardians of the Galaxy today !

We are currently staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I booked a reservation for Epcot today months ago and then heard Guardians of the Galaxy would be opened to the general public on our day.

That made me stress all week but this morning my husband and son and I all tried for a virtual boarding group at 7am . We got boarding group 2!!!

We leisurely made our way over to the ride and decided to check out the area while we waited. They called our group right away and we were the first people to ride it ! The cues were empty and they let us take the last row for our ride. There were only three other people on our ride train.

One word … AMAZING. What a great day !!

We are also at AKL Jambo House and we also rode guardians on Friday. So amazing! We are going back to Epcot tomorrow and Tuesday. Gonna try for both days.

That's great! Was following another thread where it apparently sold out within a minute (virtual queue and LL)

What's the ride like? Different from a standard rollercoaster?

I had the chance to ride as part of a DVC preview last week, and because we used rider swap for a baby in our party, I actually got to go TWICE! It was seriously so much fun! It's a cross between an intense coaster and an omni mover like Haunted Mansion where you swivel around to see various scenes, but I can't do it justice to describe it. Every picture you see of me on Rock N Roller coaster is me utterly terrified, but I laughed and whooped the whole time through this. We were talking about how expensive the LL price is, and everyone of us agreed that it would be worth every penny.
