So I see that there's going to be a preview for GOTG when I'm planning on being at Epcot. I have 2 days planned there. Are the previews throughout the day or just for a certain time period? I'm trying to decide if I do rope drop, stay awhile and then come back for EEH or just come in after afternoon and stay for the evening. Thoughts?

When I signed up for the May 9th preview the latest time I could pick was 12:30-1pm. I'm not sure if that is because the later times were sold out or that the slot I chose was the latest one they were offering for the day. I know DVC has previews on that day as well so maybe they were offered the afternoon slots.

If you're asking when to enter Epcot for a preview, then unfortunately you missed the registration period for AP/DVC members. Disney is not doing soft openings for the general public. They haven't done those since Mine Train opened in MK.

I'm wanting to know when to go to Epcot on days that there are previews (for those who have reservations) for GOTG. For example, if all previews are in the morning, I may want to avoid that time of day. Counting down the days to our trip... Can't wait to go (even with the crowds).

The previews stretch well into the afternoon. I have a slot from 3:30-4, and there were later slots available, as I recall. I don't remember how early they started, as I was looking for afternoon times.

I'm not really sure it will matter when you go into the park truthfully. A lot of people who registered for the previews either extended their already existing trips or booked trips at the last minute. Judging from the lack of ANY available dining reservations in Epcot on the day of my preview it's going to be somewhat busy all day. I assume it'll be similar on other AP preview days.

I’m not sure it will really make any difference. Those going only for Guardians will do the ride and leave. Those planning to make a day of it will probably only be at the ride for an hour or so and the rest of the day/evening, elsewhere in the park.

It likely won't matter. If anything, Epcot might be gently lighter than the other parks during those days (even if it's sold out on those days) - it wouldn't surprise me if many AP and DVC folks will only be at Epcot long enough to take part in the preview. (APs, for example, can reserve other parks on the day of their preview.)

Agreed. I'd really only do the ride and leave and there are some who will make a day of it.

I got a preview on my departure day. I will be doing the ride and leaving to go to the airport. Not everyone will be hanging around all day. A good percentage will show up only to go on the ride.
