DH has been Wisconsin Air National Guard at Truax Field since 1997. Before that he was Active Duty Marine Corps from 1987 - 1995.

DH has been Army National Guard since 1989. He's just back from his first year long deployment.

dh has been in the ARNG since 1983. Was AD for 2 years prior to that.

He says he is going to retire.... but it is such a part of him I don't think he can!

DH was activated for 16 months 2003/2005.

DH has been a full time technician for the NY Air National Guard since 1989, and did 5 years active duty Air Force prior to that. (He was activated from 3-03 to 3-05 as well).

DH USMC reserves from 1986-1993. Oregon Army Nat'l Guard 1993-present. Currently in Iraq. He plans on staying in at least another 2 years for a pension; probably will stay in longer cause it's just who he is!

DH has been in the MD national guard since 1997 and was at the Pentagon on 9/12/01 to help with cleanup and guarding for 1 year and then he was in Afgahnistan for a year. He is planning on reenlisting in November for 6 more years. He was born to serve and I totally support him!!!!!

Sounds like we are the newbies around here. DH joined Army National Guard a little over a year and a half ago and so far is enjoying every minute. We are here at Buckly Air Force Base in Colorado.

DH is RI National Guard, before that he was 6 years active in the Marine Corps. He's currently on an 18 month deployment in Iraq. Must not bother him too much though since he just re-upped for another 6 years!

you guys are newbies-DH joined in 1979-hes been in the Wyoming National Guard for 15 years-activated three times but currently home again! 26 years of total service-and he doest plan on retiring til 2009 at the soonest-so im bracing for another trip to the sand-blech

DH and I were both Active Duty Army MP's 1984-1987 -----and now DH is Navy Reserve since 2002-his unit is now the Ready Unit-awaiting deployment if deemed needed -We pray for Peace to come soon to Iraq
