Just bought a Direct Copper Creek contract with a guaranteed week for 125 points. Week 47 Thanksgiving week for a studio. See you there on Thanksgiving !!!!!!

Considering the moaning and groaning going on, on a separate thread, about booking CCV this morning, buying a Guaranteed Week was definitely the way to go! Congratulations!

Good move, we were considering it. But, as much as we like the first 2 weeks in December we started going in September so we can spend more time at the pool. Low points, usually lower crowds and easy to book CCV and GFV. Usually swim and water slide every day. Can't wait for the water parks to re-open! Both are home resorts so we book 11 months out. Studios are usually gone right at 7 months.

We picked the Walk in Shower but it didn't matter so much to me. I'm just glad we will be spending most of our Thanksgivings at Copper Creek ! Yes it would be great to meet up with a fellow DVC family who thinks like us.

Congrats! Welcome home. From one CCV owner to another, guaranteed week is the best way to go to secure a studio.
Booking CCV 11mos out for December is like trying to get a ROTR boarding group. LOL. We got lucky this morning (also helped that we went after a 2BR not a studio).

What resorts offer Fixed Weeks? The guides standing in the Riviera Resort told me RR did not have fixed weeks !
My family stayed there this week on my BRV points in 1 bedroom and I really hoped they would take the tour and buy a fixed week but I didn’t pursue with suggesting they take a tour until I verified with my own sales rep.

We picked the Walk in Shower but it didn't matter so much to me. I'm just glad we will be spending most of our Thanksgivings at Copper Creek ! Yes it would be great to meet up with a fellow DVC family who thinks like us.

Nice! I originally wanted the Walk In Shower as well, as I prefer those style of showers. But then I saw the alternative layout studios at Copper Creek, and you only have a chance of getting those in the Tub Studios, so we decided to get the Tub Studios for our FWs.

That is not true! Riviera Has fixed weeks. Aulani, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Copper Creek, and Riviera all offer Fixed/Guaranteed Weeks. Copper Creek is the only resort to offer the special runDisney Fixed Weeks, however.

DVC doesn't sell a lot of fixed weeks and some guides never do. Others when you ask need to find out the details. And the CM's giving tours often are not guides although I don't think that precludes them from learning more about what they are showing!

Anyway, the question has been answered but yes, Riviera has fixed weeks for all room types except Tower rooms.

Were you able to use incentives for your Fixed Week? I know traditionally, you don't get the incentives, but heard they were allowing them since Covid started.

DVC has allowed incentives on Fixed Weeks for some time, even prior to COVID.

That is good to know going forward. I saw some posts during COVID where incentives were being applied. When we asked back in 2018 when we started the process we couldn't then.
