Guaranteed by Credit Card question

I understand that if my ADR is 'Guaranteed by Credit Card' then we will be charged 10 dollars a person if we cancel within 48 hours or don't turn up.

My question is however, what happens if the ADR does not say 'Guaranteed by Credit Card' and for some reason we are unable to turn up. Will our credit card be charged anything?

No. If you didn't have to prepay for the meal or put a credit card down to hold it, you don't have to pay the $10 per person fee. But if worse comes to worse and you can't make a meal, it is always good to call and cancel.

Just so you know, 48 hours is not the timeframe for most restaurants to void the $10 per person.

Most restaurants it's one day. There are a couple of special events with a 48 hour cancellation.

I would certainly call and let the restaurants know if we need to cancel whether we have held it with a credit card or not.

I think I may have been looking at our Fantasmic and Candlelight Processional Package ADRs where it said 48 hours.
