we're already back from the cruise. Last minute I changed from an interior that I picked to an OV GTY. I rolled the dice that I could get an upgrade from OV since they were only showing GTY's left in the OV category. They found me an OV. So that kind of answered my question "do they hold back cabins?"

I have a OV GTY booked for the Wonder next month and I would be fine with another deck 2 midship location.

I don’t understand. How were you able to switch to an OV at the last minute? Did you have to pay for the upgrade?

Yes I paid to upgrade with the hope of the upgrade of a lifetime. Hahaha

I paid for a 9D and got a 9B. I was fine with it though. It was $500 more than the interior I had booked. But the split bath and the porthole made it worth it to us.
