4. Are you happy with your assignment or do you feel like you got a "leftover?" Unsure. I like that its deck 8. But since the wish doesn't have AFT Elevators, I'm nervous about sharing mid ship elevators.

We've been on the fantasy twice and both times the elevators were often packed. So it took awhile to catch one.
My fiancé has a disability so we can't take the stairs. So I'm just nervous that since the Wish doesn't have 3 elevator banks, they'll be even more crowded.

They don’t have 3 banks but they have a more elevators in the two sections. We never waited long for one on the treasure and they were rarely full.

4. Are you happy with your assignment or do you feel like you got a "leftover?" Booked Oceanview and got Family Oceanview, so upgraded. Really like the larger balcony with lounge chairs, but about as far from the elevators as you can get

Does anyone know when they start offering these guaranteed or even restricted rates? My cruise is about days away and there's still alot of rooms available. We are currently booked oceanview but I'm keeping my eye out to see if guaranteed or restricted offers come out for a verandah. We are already past the final payment date. Thanks,

Look in their website under special offers They usually start right after PIF date but you never know I just got a deal before the PIF.
They will cancel the original reservation and anything you pre booked and you have to start over with what’s available

Days away? Not likely to be offered and the fee to cancel and rebook would most likely not be not worth it.

So if it is offered, and there’s no guarantee, you will need to calculate out the savings vs the deposit that you will be losing. So the discount would need to be at least greater than 20% (that’s your deposit amount) to make it worth canceling and rebooking. There are tons of *GT rates right now. I use that site as well. For some reason my cruise is not listed, it's the Aug. 8 cruise on the Magic. But there's still a good amount of stateroom availability. Given the cancellation fee, maybe it's better if I wait and try to upgrade at the port.
