Hi everyone! I was wondering, from peoples past experiences, how far in advance do you usually find out which room your GTY room will be?

GTY assignments (as well as *GT assignments ), all guarantee bookings can be assigned at any time between the original booking date, all the way up to (and including) embarkation day.

That said, in the past, GTY assignments are generally done 45-90 days out, while *GT assignments are about a week out (usually on a Tuesday).

We've have one GTY that we didn't know our room number until we checked in at the port. And others that showed up anywhere from 10 days out to 3 days after we made the reservation.

I booked the Panama Canal cruise on silver opening day, a few months ago. Got a GTY room and got the specific room assignment a few, 2-3 weeks later.

I just had the keep checking online, because they don't send out emails when rooms are assigned.

Almost everybody with GTY in our cruise group got the assignments at the same time.

Thank you for the hope that maybe they might do the same for the Hawaii cruise.

The Hawaii one I think they would be able to sooner rather than later if they wished... they seem to be sold out! They might wait awhile though and see how many people cancel first...

The one time we booked IGT (different restriction but similar in that they decided which room we'd get) we got our assignments 9 days before we sailed.
