I've been waiting and waiting, too...but we have to give VetteChick a chance. As someone who just started a new teaching job last month, I can appreciate how she must be incredibly busy, perhaps feeling a little overwhelmed, in much need of sleep and, yes...those libations! Patience, patience, is what I, for one, will have and I will look forward to her next installment when she gets the chance!

Well, I'm leaving for my trip in a few days and I won't be able to enjoy my trip not knowing how yours was. Do you feel guilty now? I'll settle for another installment before I leave. So you have until Saturday morning! (I'm on a power trip today ). It's a good thing you don't take more than the one trip a year because we'd never get one trip report before it was time for another trip. Just kidding! We love your reports!

Great report. I'm a teacher, too and some expectations are amazing. I was on a thread where someone was lambasted for taking an extra sick day or two for a family vacation in Disney. Anyway, here's a drink recipe while we wait:

"Chocolate Corvette"

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz. Dark Rum
2 oz. Cream
4 oz. Hot Cocoa
1/2 oz. Creme de Cacao

Instructions
Pour the rum, creme de cacao, and hot chocolate into an Irish coffee glass. Pour the cream carefully over the back of a teaspoon so that it floats on top of the drink.

Appropriate for the season and the trip writer, huh?
