Grrrrrrr....More Last Minute Changes

Okay, long story, but I am less than 2 weeks out from my vacation....and just changed all my dinner reservations a month ago from 2 people to 3 people.

Now I'm back down to 2 people.

If I am unable to rebook with 2 people, due to lack of availability, does anyone know if there is a problem showing up with 2 people for a 3 person ADR? I have yet to call and am actually about to do so, but was hoping for some insight from my DISers!

If you cannot change to 2 people just keep what you have and show up with 2.

You will be fine showing up with just 2 people even if you have a 3 person revervation. Last summer we booked all of our meals for 8 people (we did have 8) but my brother was not able to join us for the 1st 2-3 days of the trip because something came up at work and we just told them at the rest. when we checked in and it was fine. One other meal my parents took our baby back to the room early and we only had 5 people for one ressie. It was never a problem.

I don't see why your ADR's would have to actually change. I just called the other day to add a person to ours and my confirmation numbers and times all stayed the same, just the number of people were changed. If you are worried, I would just leave them at 3 and just show up with 2 also.

I would say not to worry about it. It actually gives the restaurant a little more flexibility as you can now be seated at a two or four top.

If it was the other way around i.e. going from a two to a three, I think it would only be fair to call to change your reservations. I imagine there is some party size management going i.e only allow so many 2 party reservations and so many 4 party reservations at a time. (For a restaurant a 3 member party is the same as a 4 member party in regards to the size of table)

I called yesterday to add my DFIL to our ADR's switching it from 2-3 people. I told them I'm not sure if he will be eating with us, They told me it's better to show up with one less person than adding a person on last min..

You guys have all put my mind at ease! Thank you so much!!! I do have to change a couple of things, anyway, and just hope for the best, but most of my ADRs, I'm just going to leave as-is! Thanks again!

I agree---leave it for 3 people and show up with 2. The only time I think it would matter is for something that you have to provide a credit card # for (like Hoop De Doo). I hope you have a wonderful trip!!!
