Eric Gagne is the most overrated closer in baseball. Right after Garret Anderson hit that double and Scioscia pinch hit Blalock, Smoltzie should have been in the game. Smoltzie then could have slammed the door in the 9th. Druw had an awesome game, and deserved a better fate.

But what does Baker and Gagne care? They got no shot of ending up in the World Series.
