Delta just eliminated, my early morning flight. I will now arrive, almost TWO HOURS, later!! There is NO WAY, my family of six, will make our ressie, at Le Cellier  Of course, NOTHING is available, at a later time.

We have taken that same flight for YEARS, and it's ALWAYS full. Why did Delta change it, and disturb my plans?pirate:

I AM TICKED OFF, to the nth degree. Thanks to the Dis, I have a place to release my frustration (rant)! Grrrrrr.....

I don't know where you are coming from, but hopefully your airport is served by more than one airline. I'm sort of in the same situation, my regular airline, Southwest, does not have an early morning flight for our October trip, BUT Delta does!

Guess Delta moved your flight to Raleigh-Durham RDU.

That is really frustrating. Airlines have been really annoying lately with all the changes.

Have you tried calling Delta to see if you have any other options?

I went through a huge ordeal with Delta, when I flew here to Korea. They ended up refunding my money and giving me a $200 credit. It wasn't a schedule change, but you never know when they'll attempt to accommodate you.

Sometimes the airlines change flight times for a few weeks then go back to the old schedule. Make sure they know you want the old time if it comes available again. Also are you aware you can get a refund or change your day, and or time to depart at no fee to you. Don't let them tell you any different. There may be one other option --Is the flight a code share? If so check the other airline to see if they have a better time.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck

Ugh, so sorry about that . We just found out that we're losing an hour and a half on our first day due to a JetBlue schedule change so I feel your pain!

Im flying out of Toronto with Delta...I hope I dont run into the same problem. :( I feel your pain thou. Hang in there, it just might work out! In the meantime, did you try for ressies on another day? i know its very hard to get, but keep trying. you never know!

Unfortunately, this happens, especially when you are reliant upon someone else to do the "driving." Not a whole lot you can do, just pray you don't have troubles at the airport. I've always found those are much worse than the ones you are informed of before arriving to leave.

The same thing happened with us on airtran in 08, the flight was departing 3 hours later. I called and they issued us a full credit. I was able to book us on Delta for the same price.

Keep your fingers crossed for LeCellier. I just got an ADR for our trip in August for a party of 7.

Hope everything works out.

It would end up costing more in the long run...but I would make them put me on the flight the night before instead. Then you have that FULL DAY to use at WDW and plenty of time for Le Cellier....of course, you have to cough up the cash for one more night at the hotel/resort.

Booked our DVC reservation at 11 months, airfare and dining at 6 months.. I was informed, we could move our ressie with no penalty, just no better option, at this time. No codeshare, and Airtran would be our only possible alternative, if we received a refund, but they aren't too reliable.

Bummer. I will keep looking for later dining and more flight options.

Go ahead and go to Le Cellier for your reservation. You will be late, but the most important thing is that you are in their system and DO have a reservation there. Though I have no done this personally I have listed to podcasts where the patrons showed up either with a larger party or a much later time than on the reservation and were seated. You have nothing to lose by trying.

Umm, not really. They will only hold your reservation for so long, and then they boot you to a standby list. If they have one at that time.

We were 30 minutes late to an ADR at the Kona Cafe. The taxi that we called didn't show up.:headache:When we finally got there the CM told us they were just getting ready to cancel our reservation. And that the only reason they hadn't was because the monorail was down, so they knew people would be running late.

I would go ahead and try if you were a little late. But not hours late.

I have heard this too. I was an hour late to a reservation at Chef Mickey's once because of an accident near MK and they had to take us a long way around. Fortunately since MANY people hop from resort to MK to chef Mickeys they expected this was causing issues and we got in.

Air Tran bumped our flight back this year too. It's a non-stop and they bumped it back to miss our ADR. Lesson learned...don't schedule anything you can't go without on the day you arrive.
