It's so baffling that Disney, one of the top corporations in the world, who specialize in guest relations, have such wonky IT services.

It's happened to me a couple of times when I really needed to do something. So I end up calling Member Services, and the recording there while I'm on hold keeps telling me I can use the web site to avoid waiting! I understand your frustration.

Like many large corporations, they have outsourced their IT development to consulting companies employing offshore workers of questionable skills in order to spend less money. Like many large corporations, in doing so they have so tied themselves to the consulting company that it is difficult, if not impossible, to get away from them despite their ineptitude. Eventually, Disney will become so upset with the situation that they will be encouraged to "start over" with a new consulting company using the "latest modern development tools" (and employing a whole bunch of fresh new faces just out of trade school), and in doing so will just begin again with a different set of problems.
